When you can't get new
Some of these older Walbro carbs are not available. Some of the ones for sale are not correct with linkage. Plenty of parts here for a couple rebuilds. Carb is like new now. Combine this with one of the micro carb cleaning kits, you have a winner

Reed valve gasket cut wrong and inlet valve tang doesn't have a hole to guide the spring on
Reed valve gasket is cut incorrectly. On one side of the gasket, there is one large irregular shaped hole where there should be 2 holes. Part of this one hole covers half of a reed valve passage. I just reused the old gasket since it was still in good shape. The inlet valve rocker tang doesn't have a hole to make guiding the spring easier. There is a little nub to keep this spring centered, but the OEM tang had a hole in place of the nub that you could insert a pick to slide the spring onto , to guide it into place. Turned a 3 minute job into a rather frustrating 30 minute job. Anyone who has skinny fingers and agile hands will have no problem with this..The Good: The reed valve itself did fit, the diaphragm and diaphragm gasket also fit correctly along with the inlet Valve(AKA - Float valve in larger carbs)..
