I bought this for my husband. My daughter liked it so much she bought it for her boyfriend who was a new diver it’s a good guide and I especially like that it indicates the level of experience needed for the dives.

I love this book. It has some wonderful details not normally found in dive books, such as suggested dive operators and little bits of information that you normally wouldn't know about unless you'd traveled to that spot previously. Great photography! Of the places I've been that are in the book, I found the information the book provided to be accurate as well. Nice coffee-table book. Everyone who visits picks it up and has to read a few pages.

Purchased this book for a friend of mine who is a Scuba Instructor, he absolutely loved it! Makes a great addition to his coffee table and a wonderful talking point when he has guest. Nice book with a fair number of pictures. The book can't decide if it is a travel advisory book or a coffee table book, and so misses on being great in either category. To be truly outstanding coffee table book, it would need more full page high quality photos. To be a truly outstanding travel advisory, it need more text and more opportunities for contact of dive operations/activities at each location. In the end, I found it to be a better coffee table book than a travel guide as many locations (that I have been to) had numerous omissions of services and local activities.

Ordered this to keep as a coffee table book to spark conversation! Love the oceans and everything about it, didnt expect to like the book as much as we did. But we read some every night and just had to start making a bucket list! Really cool book!

My brother in law recently obtained his scuba license and he is excited to dive. He isn't much of a reader, so he loved all of the pictures in this book. He can't wait to start checking off places he has actually been! I like the thickness and size of this book, perfect for a coffee table piece.

It's ok - Has a description of a number of places that most divers have on their bucket list - But most of the information isn't new you can find it on the web. Also the dive magazines are a great source for the most current info about the these dive destinations

A lovely book with excellent suggestions. Sadly I only made it to about 10 of them before I died. Now that I'm a ghost I pretty much go diving wherever I want. They really should change the title to "50 Places To Dive Before Or After You Die".

「FIFTY?PLACES〜」シリーズのスキューバダイビング編（英文）。 サブタイトルにあるとおり、海洋生物学者や水中プロカメラマン、地元ダイビングガイド、ダイビングメーカ社長など錚々たる方々による推薦されたダイビングガイドブックです。 編集者がコメントを書くのではなく、それぞれのエキスパートが自分の言葉で推薦しているため、説得力があり真実味があります。 50ヶ所が紹介されており私自身、全く知らないダイブサイトも紹介されていて大変有益な情報源となります。 ただ、米国の出版物のため、沖縄、小笠原が紹介されていないのが残念至極。 写真派から地形、沈船、大物狙いなど特長をしっかり伝えているので行きたい地域をチョイスしやすいです。 これを使ってダイビングの行き先を決めるも善、目的地の情報を得るも善、50ヶ所を踏破するも善、と使い方はいろいろ。 もちろん、お金に余裕があれば、踏破してみたい、です。
