The gooseneck is pretty rigid and stays put when you position it. This is good.Unfortunately, the mounting bracket is crummy. Bending the stiff gooseneck puts too much force on the small screws tithe bracket's holes are sized for, even though its mounted in a solid wood stud. I drilled out the holes to fit larger screws, but the bracket itself is made of the softest steel imaginable and bends when the gooseneck is adjusted. So I'll have to make another bracket from angle iron, which is not a big deal but annoying.
