Linens World 200 Thread Count 100% Egyptian Cotton Duvet Quilt Cover Bedding Sets with Pillow cases (Navy, Single)

I wanted plain, white cotton bedding, and that's what I now have! I don't know how anyone could find fault at this price! I have paid a heck of a lot more for oddly shaped and badly stitched items. I haven't put it on the bed yet (washed it) but the material feels lovely and crisp. If you want soft and slippery, buy polyester. These feel 'proper' to me.

Purchased the Silver Grey quilt cover, feels soft, fits super king great, but it's not silver grey in colour more like beige brown. Disappointed as I wanted it to match my silver grey carpet.

Purchased this several times and only been disappointed once, there was obviously a fault in the fabric because shaking the quilt into the cover caused a tear, other purchases have been great, washes nicely

Expected 100% Egyptian cotton, 200 thread count. But came in a plain plastic bag with a card insert saying they were 100% cotton but don't believe they were. No tag on items enclosed to verify this.

This is apparently 100% Egyptian cotton in the same way my cat is apparently a qualified electrician. First red flag: the packaging proudly claims "no harmful chemicals used." The second I opened it, I was hit with a smell so strong it felt like the duvet cover had been marinated in a chemical factory's lost-and-found bin. Then there's the shrinking. Last time I checked, quality cotton doesn't dramatically change size after a wash, yet this cover came out looking like it had enrolled in a crash diet. The fabric itself feels odd too. Instead of the soft, breathable feel you'd expect from 100% cotton, it has a strange firmness and clings to other materials like it's desperately afraid of being left alone. Now for the science experiment. Since we decided not to return it (didn't fancy passing the problem on to someone else), we burned a small corner. Rather than behaving like pure cotton, it showed signs of melting. Unless Egyptian cotton has recently evolved into plastic, that's not exactly encouraging. If you're looking for a cheap duvet cover and don't particularly care what's actually in it, you might be perfectly happy with this. If you're looking for genuine 100% cotton that doesn't smell like a public toilet after a music festival, I'd keep shopping.

Ma couette étant avec motif, la housse reçue est assez transparente. Avec 200 fils je pensais avoir un tissu plus épais.
