how do you know which metal is which

If you go to the picture on the website they are labeled. The oranger colored one is Copper while the golden one is Brass. The brightest and lightest one is Aluminum. the darkest and heaviest one is Lead. The you have left zinc and iron which are very similar in color, but iron is slightly heavier and the zinc has a slight brown gray to the silver color.

Are the edges beveled or sharp when you receive them

The edges are as seen in the photograph. Not necessarily sharp, but not beveled either.

Want to use them as feet for 12”x12” granite remnant Will this work?

They are solid metal and teeny. So they most likely wouldn't be noticed underneath, but given the weight of granite I would think you would need two sets with probably 3 per side and the remaining maybe as 4 corners of a square in the middle so it doesn't buckle or crack over time especially if something comes down on it hard. The silver colored ones are similar enough to look the same if you put on the outside while putting the brass and copper on the inside. Assuming the 12x12 remnant is laying parallel to a surface like a cutting board.

Could we use this fir a water experiment? To test for metals in water
