Cavernous!
This bag is great! - Perfect size to count as free under seat personal item for most European budget airlines - Excellent quality with nice strong fabric, good quality stitching and zips - Cavernous! Can easily fit everything for a long weekend or even a week if you pack light - Love having handles on both the top and side and that you can hide away the backpack straps in their own little pocket - Internal straps to hold everything in place are a great addition - Side pocket for water bottle big enough for even the largest of water bottles(Fits my Super Sparrow 750ml with room to spare)

Great product but beware of over-filling
I bought this bag to avoid punitive baggage charges on EasyJet and it does that job perfectly. I looked at both the Manhattan and Metz bag and went for the Manhattan primarily because of the laptop compartment which is ideal for transporting a 13" laptop or iPad. Having got the bag, I have also found a few other nice touches. On the back of the bag, a zipped compartment allows to you store the shoulder straps which I find really handy as it stops them getting caught up in things as you move on and off the aircraft. The main compartment also has a small meshed compartment which is really handy for storing smaller items. The overall build quality is very good but the material is not as heavy as you might find on, say, the average laptop bag so it might not take that much abuse in the long term. The only other thing to be careful of is that, unlike the Metz, this bag lacks side-compression straps. It is therefore easy to over-fill the depth of the bag beyond permissible airline limits, so be careful that you don't do this and fall victim to over-zealous checkin staff. The bottom line is that, however much you fill it, it will still fit easily under an aircraft seat. I am now travelling less by air and more by train but have continued to use the bag as it is such an ideal size for an overnight trip and very comfortable to carry.

A great mix of capacity, lightness and features.
Following an exchange of emails with the very helpful Cabin Max customer support team I decided to purchase the Manhattan backpack 24L 40x30x20cm for my short trip to Europe on Wizz Air. The bag is very well made, weighs 700g, and I was able to take enough clothing for a 3 day stay along with a mirrorless camera body and two lenses. There is a main compartment, with a separate netted pocket and a compartment for a laptop. Although I didn’t take a laptop on this occasion my 16” HP laptop fits easily in the compartment. Both zips for the main compartments are easy to operate and are lockable. There is a handy pocket at the front, useful for holding documents you may need when checking in etc. The backpack straps are wide and very comfortable, they detach at the bottom and can be stored in a separate pocket. There are two handles, one on the top, the other on the side to make it easy to carry. The bag has a side bottle holder designed to hold the largest of water bottles. A luggage strap makes it easy to slip the bag on top of a roller suitcase. One of the main reasons for choosing the Manhattan was that I felt it had the correct balance of pockets and available space. Although my carry-on bag wasn't checked for size or weight, I did a test fit in the cage and as it was mostly filled with clothes it did go in with a little manipulation. Being fabric, if it was overfilled, I think I could have had an issue. Despite that potential issue I am still very happy with my purchase.

Great bag, fantastic price Which brand recommended!
This is a very high quality 24L Underseat Cabin Bag and the perfect size for Ryanair. The brand Cabin Max is recommended by Which? Magazine and when you get hold of this bag, you can see why. A superbly thought out design, so practical with just the right number of pockets. As far as value for money goes, this is top of the class! The top brand for cabin bags is Osprey, according to Which? However Cabin Max comes a very close second 83% vs 86%. This is only part of the story though, Cabin Max knocks Osprey into a cocked hat when it comes to price, average paid £106 for Osprey £37 for Cabin Max. I have nothing against Osprey, I own two rucksacks made by them and they are great bags and if the Osprey Daylite Unisex Travel Pack was the same price, I might well have bought it. However I paid £29.95 for the Cabin Max and The Osprey is £85 on Amazon, so it was a no-brainer!

Great small flight bag.
Great bag, can be used as either a backpack or shoulder bag. The backpack straps can be put away in a zipped compartment when not in use as can the shoulder strap. My other half liked mine so much, I bought another one in blue for them.

Excellent quality and durable
I have the larger size Cabin Max carry on bag, but needed something much smaller for BA, so ordered a cheap bag that fit the size requirements - I immediately realised my mistake and returned it as it was utter tripe. I hadn't realised at the time that Cabin Max made this smaller size so was really pleased when I found it, knowing the good quality. Although the depth it 20cm and BA max depth is 15cm, I figured that if I don't over stuff it, it will fit in the frame should airport check-in want to check it. This means we can take full advantage for the other airlines we are booked on, who allow a bigger bag. It may have cost more, but it by far exceeds the quality of others, so the saying 'you get what you pay for' is spot on. The Cabin Max bag is very well made and sturdy with plenty of padding for a laptop etc. The straps are well padded and comfortable to use. The fabric is also of good quality, with a lovely, soft suede type material on the front. There is no USB point for charging your phones with this size, but there is a good sized pocket on the side that I can just drop the power bank into, so no issue really. I would 100% recommend this bag for travelling with BA and similar airlines so it can be stored under the seat in front.

A perfect travel partner
This bag for travelling has to be the best I've ever used. Its shape and layout (such as zips and pocket placement) just work very well. The manufacturer has clearly done their homework. The padded tech pocket protected my surface tablet absolutely fine, the netted pocket internally was great for keeping all my loose items together (chargers etc) and the main section is just so accessible and open I actually managed a week's worth of clothes, sans a second pair of shoes. What the accessibility also helps with is security checks. Because it's so easy to get at everything, security is a breeze. On the topic of physical security, the main pocket and tech pocket both have padlock rings so with a suitable padlock you can secure the bag. A previous reviewer mentioned about the quality/strength of the straps and how they attach to the bag - I've inspected this and it is sewn in very well with a strip of fabric over the top for extra strength. Apologies I don't know my sewing terms but I can see it's in there very well. There's possibly only two improvements I can think on this bag. One would be to have a lip that covers the zips for the main pocket (and maybe the tech pocket) to prevent opportunists trying to open your bag if it doesn't have a padlock when it's on your back - although granted it would be very hard anyway. The second possible improvement would to allow just a little more stretch on the side pocket. It was a struggle but I just about managed to fit a half full drinks bottle in there when doing some walking. In conclusion; it's a well made bag that's had the design thought about and offers plenty of space in all the right places. Although I used mine for a longer trip and it performed admirably, it's still more of a 4 day bag maximum. Finally I think it's safe to say it offers excellent value for money.
