This is the longest shoe horn I could find. My husband loves it. Makes putting on his boots and shoes so much eaiser at our age.

longer than most but...
as we all get older, the simple task of putting on ones shoe can be difficult, hence the inventional of this super long show horn. its great, dont think bending is required but because of its length, i have seen users start using it as a cane which can be dangerous if it was plastic but because its metal and with a slight radius perpendicular to the longer axis, the structure is a bit more stable and rigid so in case its used for personal support it may be a bit more safe. but still not recommended

It's great - there is only one flaw - and that is that it bends at the bottom
It's long and metal so that's what is MOST IMPORTANT - as you need it to be long and you need it to not be plastic as it has to be thin but strong. The only problem is it may be a tiny bit too thin, as it BENDS at the bottom. I guess that might be a feature though, as it ends up conforming to how you use it, but that's the ONLY reason I didn't give it a five star rating. I don't think it's SUPPOSED to bend, is it? Anyway, it's long and that's good. And it's steel. And that's good. The hook-like end is great for HANGING on things (like door openings or overhanging shelves) as I tend to use it outside when I'm putting on my boots so I hang it on the outside overhanging lamp. That little hook ends up being a nice feature too.

Great Long shoe horn makes putting shoes on easy
Love the length of this shoe horn. It keeps me from having to strain any muscles when I have to contort myself.

Functional and strong!
We had purchased a long shoe horn at a brick and mortar store which worked once before breaking. It was cheap in more ways than one. Went to Amazon and did a search. We chose this one based on one we had used at a home we were visiting. When I found this one on Amazon, my decision was made. It costs more, and worth every penny and then some. A lesson well learned ... you get what you pay for! Used this new shoe horn again this morning and was all smiles. No bending over or fighting with the shoe horn itself. Another thing to note. This is one piece. Extremely durable - PERIOD! Love it and thank you!

It's the little things in life...
I have the most difficult-to-put-on shoes the world has ever seen. They're nice, but I never wear them because the backs are so flimsy that I have to wiggle my finger between my heel and the shoe's heel for an eternity, just to put them on properly. Well I decided to get a shoehorn, and I decided to get one that would last so I could use it when I'm old and not as bendy as I am now. I've had this thing for two months and ever Sunday I put on "the most difficult-to-put-on shoes the world has ever seen" and it takes about 3 seconds, then I tell my wife how much I love this shoehorn, and she rolls her eyes at me like I'm some sort of a wackjob. I'm fairly certain that any shoehorn would probably do the same, but there's no bending needed, and I think it'll last forever. Am I embarrassed that I love a shoehorn? You bet! Does my wife get sick of hearing about how much I love it? Probably! Do either of those things change how I feel about my shoehorn? Not one single iota!

No Need to Bend Down
This is a VERY long shoehorn with a curve at one end and a hook at the other. I have just had eye surgery and have be told not to bend. BUT... what about putting on shoes? Picking stuff from the floor? placing things on low shelves? Reaching into the bottom shelf of a cupboard? Answer: buy this shoehorn! it's metal so won't break. I remove my outdoor shoes from the lowest shel, lever my foot from an indoor shoe with the shoe horn and then, with the hooked end lift the indoor shoe onto the second shelf. I've retrieves dropped tissues, slid items to the front of a cupboard, even unhooked bags from a hook above my head. It's brilliant! if you're trying not to bend or stretch, you need one.

Perfect Solution
I thought this long shoe horn would be helpful because of my difficulty putting on shoes and boots but, in fact, it has turned out to be a godsend. I place the end in the heel of my boot and my foot slides in effortlessly without my having to bend one little bit. The first time this happened I just couldn't believe how easy it was. Just wish I had bought one a long time ago. I would highly recommend anyone having trouble getting their footwear on to buy one of these. It's metal so it won't crack or bend but it's not heavy, and it's very affordable. I have only positive things to say about this great little tool.
