Used the Balaclava/Hood for running and on the motorcycle. Worked excellent for running, wicked away sweat and was warm!
I purchased this primarily for running. I have used it for about 3 weeks now and I can attest to the fact that it is a very good product and it keeps one especially warm and wicks away the sweat after 5 or so miles when you really want that sweat off your head. I specifically purchased the 'hyperwarm' as I needed one that would give me maximum protection from the elements during my winter running. I wear size 7 1/8 hats or XL and this fits me perfectly. There is a similar hood (balaclava) for sale by Nike but it's not 'hyper warm" so the results from that one may be different. I have done 15, 13 and 10 miles and I am very happy with it. It kept me warm, warm enough for me to brave the wind and cold in 25, 30 and 32 degree (Fahrenheit) temperatures. It does not get too uncomfortably warm which was my fear. The inside is warm and the material soft to the touch and does not itch. I have used this product with the hyperwarm Combat pro long sleeve top/shirt and pants, and nothing, no cold air gets past the clothing. I tuck the hood under the shirt's top and I tuck the top into the pants and my socks underneath the bottom of my pants so that no wind chill sneaks into my body. It is very well constructed and I only wash it with cold water and dry it naturally, air dry (not in the dryer) to extend its life. I also tried it when riding the motorcycle and it worked great. However, a perfect motorcycle balaclava should spread to the end of your shoulders as these hoods/balaclavas that end at the bottom of your neck tend to bunch up and expose some part of the neck to the wind, defeating the purpose of the balaclava. For running, it is excellent especially when used with the rest of the Nike hyperwarm products. I also love that you can use it in 3 different formats; as shown in the picture with the top of the head and nose covered, (I am clean shaven including the top of the head so I obviously choose this option!) with the nose uncovered, and with the head and nose exposed but neck covered. The packaging shows you how to use it in the three instances. I would highly recommend it. I got the red one. I would have preferred blue but it was not available on hyperwarm when I purchased it. Hopefully, this shall keep me running in the winter in the elements.

THE balaclava for extreme cold
Got these for my family to wear in frigid/below freezing temperatures in the Arctic Circle of Finland in December. It hugs the face and doesn’t let it air! You’ll still need a hat If you’re in harsh temperatures but your head, face and neck will be very toasty. I tried several types of balaclavas and this one was perfect. My mouth is out just for the photo and back up the covering went. Easy on/off too. Use it as a neck gaiter or hat, too. Love!

Constricts nose
I agree with other reviewers that this thing constricts my nostrils to the point that I can't breathe through my nose with it on. To top it off it doesn't warm my head and ears as well as just a regular running beanie. There is just no way to wear this with the amount of pressure it puts on the nostrils.

Not as warm as others, which is what I wanted!
Fits very well under a ski helmet, easy to adjust up or down on your face on the fly, and provides good insulation without bulk or being too warm. I've worn this on -0 days on the slopes and been quite comfortable.

Tried and true with snow blinding winds in the Rockies
Purchased this for snowboarding/snowmobiling and it works great! One of the best $20 investments I've made! :) Tried and true with snow blinding winds in the Rockies (Brighton and Snowbird), kept my face warm and could still breathe while shredding. Love the adjustable ways to wear this mask. I'd recommend no doubt.

Nike running mask
Not long hair friendly. I wish it had a opening on the back so you can stick your ponytail out. Because its uncomfortable to have my hair on my neck especially if the mask is weighing my hair down. Other than that it's pretty good. It didnt necessarily warm up my face when I ran outside in the cold but it covered it from the wind and all that.

Keep my ears warm and allow to easily raise or tuck the face mask nicely
I use the Nike hood under my helmet on the cold days which in New England, have been many. Keep my ears warm and allow to easily raise or tuck the face mask nicely. Materials are good quality. I recommend!

comfortable and looks great
High quality, comfortable and looks great. Use it to work out outside during the mild winter, never too cold in the area. The only issue, that stitches went kind of bad in the year, but so far I only cut thread without any fixing. Overall opinion - awesome.
