Why amazon.com comfirme this filter, with the input and output in 5/16, suitable for the 1988 ford bronco ii, but on my 4x4, pipes ranging from transm

This is a universal type filter. I used it on the return line for my power steering unit.If you are using it on your automatic transmission cooler return line you are likely going to have to cut a section of the hard line and splice it in. Make sure you have the direction arrow on the filter matches the flow of your fluid.

Is this a replacement for delco pf-2125 on-line power steering filter on 1997 taurus g 3.0v6 efi?

I don't know if it can be used for that. We replaced a transmission on a hyundai accent and this filter is attached to the transmission fluid line.
