I first made trip to my local HD store to buy a lockset and had sticker shock. This lockset is well made heavy construction and looks identical to the one at the HD but at a third of the price. Simple straight forward installation. New or as replacement

Very good for price.. it works nice

This is a good knob for the price - easy to install, smooth turning, what you would want in a doorknob. But as far as privacy goes, not so much. I bought it to keep my 4 year old from constantly bursting into his 14 year old sister's bedroom, and within a day or two he figured out how to unlock it from the outside... and it's *very easy* to unlock from the outside, so even if you lose the tool or don't have a screwdriver or something. I know the point of it is to be able to get it unlocked in case of emergency or if we, as parents, need to get into her room, but it shouldn't be so easy that a 4 year old can do it with his bare hands. Regardless, I gave it 4 stars because we're keeping it and did get a second one for our bathroom, because eventually he will learn personal boundaries, lol. I just wanted to include it in the review in case it helps.

Super easy to install! Took me less than 5 minutes and the instructions weren't needed. It's almost a common sense install if it already "fits" your door. Hopefully it holds up over time. One thing to note and the biggest flaw in my opinion, the "lock mechanism" is pretty useless due to the design. All you need is anything that's flat (penny, flathead screwdriver, credit card etc) and you'll be able to pick the lock in .2 seconds. It works for me but that may be a safety concern for some people.

Easy to install. I needed a way to unlock from the outside without a key, and this product gives that security. Instructions could be more understandable, but I didn't have any problems getting it installed without them.

Instructions are confusing but a quick youtube tutorial made this a 3 min fix
