Raw Vibrance Dog Food Base Mix (6 lb)

My dog loves this formula and I love what's in it. I used to make my dog his food from scratch. This saves a whole lot of prep time and eliminates the supplements I was giving him because they are all in this formula. It may cost a little more, but not by much and my sweet dog is worth it. My dog can't wait to eat his meals and cleans his bowl every time.

The feeling of not knowing if, or when our furry friends kibble will be recalled is unnerving. Constantly looking up the never ending food recalls, even with the best quality kibble money can buy can become very stressful! You, at times start to question if you're making the right decision. Due to the constant recalls, I found myself buying something different each month and, at times, throwing out. Plus, hoping it'll be a gentle system food, and, something she won't turn her nose up to. Then, the hassle of lugging it back for return. I had had enough! I tried making it myself, in home, but even that, due to time involved, re: shopping cutting chopping and cooking proved to be very time consuming. Without a dehydrator, cooking zaps all the nutrients out. Kind of defeats the purpose. After reviewing and researching numerous all natural and organic product, Dr. Harvey's stood out. That's when I decided to buy a sample bag of Dr. Harvey's Raw Vibrance. Straight away I and my girl was impressed with the quality. Dr. Harvey's is a wholesome healthy substitute for bagged and store bought kibble. What I like most about it is the natural endless organic veggies, eggshell membranes and, mushrooms, greens and bone broth. High quality ingredients! The smell isn't to appealing, but, once mixed with water (I use homemade added bone broth), oil and protein, she ate it up without delay! She was satisfied and content. Not only is Dr. Harvey's some of the best we can feed our furbabys, it also balances their system and has a positive impact on yard waste! The cost is a bit much. But, when figuring in the shop time, cost of multiple organic veggies, and the time it takes to make yourself, its so worth it! A win win!!

This is the best food ever! Hear me out! I have two dogs. The first 3 years of their life, they were kibble fed. My small dog struggled with several ear yeast infections a year, and very itchy paws and belly. My bigger dog was nicknamed a “lazy bug” because he didn’t like playing much. Once I changed them to Doctor Harvey’s, my small dog stopped having yeast infections. And my big dog started being playful! He would grab toys after eating and would do a few zoomies. He also was more enthusiastic at the dog park and actually wanted to run! My small dog was yeast infection free for 3 years, until I decided to try a different brand of dehydrated food for variety, and his yeast infections came back. The other brand of food was a premium brand as well, but it was high in high starch vegetables, which is what I think doesn’t sit well with him, as starch feeds yeast. I switched him back to Doctor Harvey’s, and the yeast infections went away! Amazing! The one month we tried the other brand of food, my big dog became lazy again. His routine of grabbing a toy after eating stopped, and at the dog park he would walk in and immediately lay down. Once we switched back to Doctor Harvey’s, a few days in, and he went right back to playful! I have seen how my dog’s health and happiness has increased with this food. I recommend it to everyone!! The food doesn’t really have a smell, which is a plus in my book. When rehydrated, it makes a mush that’s easy to eat for dogs without many or no teeth at all. Dogs love this food and get very excited for dinner time, and my small one is very picky! Thank you, Doctor Harvey’s! We are a Doctor Harvey’s family forever!

I love this food.

Great product for a number of reasons. We've used this with 3 different dogs. The first was with a dog that had epilepsy. Switching to this along with human grade ground turkey help to reduce episodes and the amount of meds she was on. Since we camp with our dog, using Harvey's helps to reduce the amount of dog stuff space in our Sprinter and weight. We still include the the ground meat; both take up less room and are easily prepared. And lastly, it's cheaper. Yes, hard to believe, but combining Harvey's with cooked ground meat costs less than kibble. Our dog consumes less because she feels full on smaller portions of the Harvey diet than kibble. The only draw back is the prep time. Yes, it takes more time to prep the food than it takes to open a bag of kibble or packet of specialty dog food. But she's worth it. By the way we have a Great Pyrenees. Using the Harvey diet, she gets 1 cup of Harvey's combined with 0.25 to 0.5 cup of meat. She eats it without any issues and walks away looking and acting satisfied.

My boys love Dr Harvey’s. When i first took my 3.5 year old Frug (Frenchie/Pug) home at 10 months old, he would barely eat. I was given a small baggy of kibble and told that it was a brand of puppy kibble that he’s been on. When I gave it to him, he immediately turned his nose up and refused it. I tried a few more times with no luck. I then tried several other types of dog food and brands and he’d either completely refuse it no matter how hungry he’d get or he’d pick at it here and there for a few days until he decided to stop eating it all together. I found out soon after that he had sensitivities to chicken and some other food allergies and that he wasn’t just “being picky” as I was initially told. Finally I started to make his meals myself, I added in all the supplements he’d need in addition to his protein, veggies etc. I didn’t mind the extra work, this was my baby but i heard about Dr Harvey’s Base mixes and decided to give it a shot. I thought “ if this works out, all the work is done for me so no guessing games or figuring out what and how much of what to give my boys.. everything was right there for me and I just had to add the protein”.. the first time I gave it to my boy he LOVED it! It wasn’t much different to his mamas home cooked meals and I had peace of mind knowing that he was getting everything he needed when I used Dr Harveys. I then tried different brands of these “base mixes” and none of them ever worked out. My Frug would eat it and then get tummy issues and have to suffer through it and with some of them, he wouldn’t even taste them. So when I got my younger dog as a 2 month old pup, I started him on Dr Harvey’s as soon as I could and he also LOVES the stuff! This product is excellent for picky dogs, dogs with allergies, dogs with sensitive tummies and for dogs with owners that want to give them the best, healthiest life possible!

So far so good. I decided to try this brand out. I've seen good things on videos of people using it. My dog seems to like it and it agrees with him.

Great vegetable mix for raw meat diets, especially during the winter months when truly fresh vegetables may not be as available. While the vegetables in this mix are not listed as being organic, (loses one star for that), Raw Vibrance contains an impressive list of ingredients. I use this mix intermittently, 3 or 4 days during the week. Having broccoli as the first ingredient and also containing cabbage, I prefer to use these vegetables from the brassica family in moderation to avoid any potential interference with thyroid function. My dog loves this mix and has no problems with digestion. I also occasionally mix a pinch or two into my elderly cat's wet food for a nutrient boost; it seems to help with her digestion as well. I like that goat's milk powder, eggshell, and green lipped mussel are added into this mix. Easy to store and rehydrate and a long shelf life make this a great alternative when you don't have time to shop for and chop your own fresh vegetables.

This brand is amazing, the best my picky eater was not eating the expensive kibble anymore and wouldn’t touch his foods even if I added things to it. Then I finally decided to make the switch to whole raw/ cooked foods and it was a game changer. I just use this as the base follow the instructions and topped it with cooked ground beef and some fish oil. I add his green dental clean powder to this and he eats the entire meal up so quickly with no fuss at all. This changes everything for me and him and he is now so happy and more confident. I highly recommend this brand😀 Maybe order a small bad first to test out with your dog when first switching over add their favourite protein mix it all together and they will surely eat everything. Now I just orders the full size larger bag. This will be my go to with my raw/ cooked feeding!

My little girl really enjoyed this food. I would make a big batch and keep it in the refrigerator. I would then lightly cook her meat and then add a big scoop of the premix. Her stools were perfectly formed. Gobbled it up fast. There is quite a bit of sediment at the bottom of the bag, as other reviewers have mentioned. I didn’t find it to be a dealbreaker as it’s to be expected. Just mix the bag up a bit and as you scoop you’ll get a variety. My 15-year-old Maltipoo has chronic kidney disease, stage two for close to two years now. She’s on a high-quality diet along with some kidney supplements. Dr. Harvey’s premix has been a great option for us in adding variety to her diet. Her values have remained consistent over this time. She’s never been a picky eater, so I can’t say how well a picky eater would do. It is definitely on the higher price point. In Canada, we have limited options. Amazon is the only place I could find Delivery for. Previously raw fed, which was more economical than Dr. Harvey’s. Something to keep in mind long term.

This is the best dog food going. You just add your own protein. It isa dry food full if vegetables and natural ingredients. My dog is very allergic and he thrives on Dr Harvey’s. well worth the expense considering what vet bills are

My dog is a super selective eater and we’ve been struggling for years with finding something she likes. I was certain she wouldn’t like this and I was 100% wrong! She absolutely loves it and is so excited when meal times come! Definitely, recommend trying it out.

I love all the base mixes offered by this company, the ingredients are simply amazing and my dogs are doing great with this recipe.
