Great for picture framing
Well made and function as designed. Be aware they are a bit too tall for standard 1X2s

Very pleased with result
I had read customer reviews on Amazon about this product before buying. I was asked to repair a small picture frame that had been knocked of the wall and separated at diagonal corners. What I didn't know before I started was that someone had tried repairing this before me and had done a poor job. They had not used a framing tool to hold the frame tightly together and the glue was spotty where they tried to fix it. I had to first gently smooth down the surfaces where the glue was hardened in spots so the two surfaces were flat and would mate together. Glued it first and let it harden for 24 hours, then while still in the frame holding tool, I gently (but firmly) tapped 1 x 7mm VNail into each of the 4 corners. What I was thrilled about was that with controlled firm tapping, they went into the wood beautifully. Warning from others said don't try to hammer them in, they'll bend... So all 4 went in perfect. I added the VNails as extra strengthening "just in case" but to be honest, with proper preparation of the surfaces to be glued, it was probably not necessary. None the less, I had bought a packet of the 7mm and the 10mm. In my case I could have used either but I chose the 7mm based on the thickness of the wood, not wanting to go too deep. The nails tapped in flush with the wood and actually once in, they're hardly even visible (and of course only from the back of the frame anyway so who cares). As the frame had been previously dropped and some very minor damage I used a wood wax pencil designed to hide minor scratches to fill in 2 minor damaged areas. The end result was as good as I had hoped for and I'm really glad I got these vnails. BTW, They'd have worked perfectly on their own without gluing but what the heck. A+

Works as expected
Works as expected. Every once in a while one won't drive all the way in but would by again

Easy to tap into wood. Don't bend.
Easy to hammer into wood. Smaller size requires a precise hammering start as fingers are bigger than the fastener and you don't really want to hammer your fingers ๐! Even small size firmly holds the frame square. Absolutely great if you don't often make frames and do not want to invest in a V-nailer.

Perfect substitution for finishing nails
I needed to cut a large frame down. Iโve always used finishing nails. Never again! These worked perfectly. Iโm an amateur and was able to hammer these easily.

Exactly what I needed
A customer asked me to build a large frame, because it was so large I was worried about keeping it together with just glue and pin nails. I couldn't justify an air nailer for one frame, so I thought I would give these a shot. They worked flawlessly in 1/2" thick poplar. I would not hesitate to buy them again. One tip I would give is to use light taps with a small hammer. If you try to hammer them in to hard/fast they may not drive straight and could mess things up.Worth every Penny!

Works well in poplar.

Definite buy
I have been using miter barbs for a fair amount of time. These things are amazing. For every 4/5 you bend one. But they are sharp and once in, strong as balls. I have resorted to using them around the frame interior as well and they really add pressure to the board backer, art, and glass in a really positive way. Easy to use all around. I hammer them in with the blunt end of an old flat chisel and, tack hammer. Get some! You won't regret it. Cost is so much better and they don't walk as easily as the barbs. Over all, I can see many more uses and there's like 100 in a pack.

Great Product
i have bought both the 1/4 and 1/2 inch .If you use 1/4 on 4/4 board it not going to work well .If you use the proper size v nail it is the best thing for picture frames , Great produce at a great price
