Franklin Sports Quick-Setup Steel Soccer Goal

We got this for our granddaughter's 15th birthday! She did not realize what it was in the box (rectangular, kind of heavy), and it took her some time but when she realized, she was so excited. Everything is included and there were no missing parts. All the stakes and pieces for the net were included. This is a very strong and durable soccer goal. She put it up by herself in their yard and had no problem. Very easy. She then kicked her ball right in! This will be a good practice goal for her continuing in soccer. The net is strong. I'm sure she will have fun and invite other kids to play with her.

Great for practice

OMG!!! My daughter just started playing soccer this year for the middle school team and she wanted a goal/net so she could practice at home. I highly recommend this product. The bars are metal and very sturdy comes with stakes so you can keep it in place. The Net is also sturdy and very easy to put on. Very durable. My older boys also play with it and they’re a little more rough and it has held up to there roughness. It’s pretty big is size. But not huge either. Perfect for all ages.

UPDATE 4/17/2020:I can't recall when this item broke, but I know it was years ago... The item served its purpose and was probably discarded around year 2-3. Basically, the net straps break over time which wasn't an issue, we used zip ties to resecure the net to the post. Over time, the metal rusted rather quickly and the net broke. I would recommend users to store the goal after every use and keep it dry. It was fun while we had it.ORIGINAL POST:This is a pretty good goal (it serves its purpose to kick the goal into a perimeter) but the straps are not durable. Any hard kicks to the ball and the straps come flying off as soon as the soccer ball makes contact with the net. This issue was easily fixed with some zip ties. The only other issue is the weather (rain). The unit has rusted a lot where the tubes connect and will drip and stain whatever surface it is on if water stores in tubes). I have owned this item for 14 months and it is still standing! The net has been undamaged in any way. We love having this goal to practice and play games. The $ was not bad at all for the easily fixed strap issue and size, the rust, well, haven't work on that issue yet.

We bought this goal after returning a goal purchased from another company- it was just too small. We were looking for a medium size goal, certainly not regulation. One that our 5 year old could use with his 9 year old brother. This was the perfect solution and the price was ridiculously good. It came delivered in it's packaged box with an Amazon label on it. It was easy to lay out and assemble. The instructions were simple and it was put together and the boys were using it within 15 minutes. The net is attached with velcro straps and there are plenty It would be easy enough to break it down and put it back in the box for storage off season too. It is exactly what we needed. It is also easy to move and very light. This review is for the 4X6 Franklin Sports Competition Goal.

Surprisingly high quality. I wasn't expecting too much given the low price on this item, but was pleasantly surprised. The posts are made of thick metal and the net is easy to adjust and connect. This is a good size for a back yard or for peewee leagues just learning the basics of footie! UPDATE: After leaving this out for about 10 months, 7-8 of which were in the full blazing hot south texas sun, the velcro straps that hold the netting to the metal frame have pretty much succumbed and have frayed beyong purposeful use. I've reattached using zip ties and hope those last a bit longer than the original velcro attachments. Otherwise the frame and netting have done quite well otherwise. I'll keep this at a 5 star rating because for what I paid (less than 25), and the conditions it has endured, it has held up remarkably well. If this were used indoors, I could see this lasting indefinitely.

I've had this goal for a year now and it has been kept outdoors the entire time. My kids are younger (4 and 6) but I also take some shots on it and the goal has been very durable. The net did start to detach because the velcro straps wore out, but I added a few zip ties and now it is good to go. It is very light and easy to move around the yard, but doesn't move too much when playing which is good (and is a problem with the pop-up style nets). Good value, should last for years, and is great for backyard practice - highly recommended.

Much bigger net than I thought it would be. The kids loved it. One bad thing was when shipped was NOT put in a box so the Christmas present was ruined since the kids saw it on the front porch. It put together real easy and all the parts were perfect & new. However my husband said the Velcro that attached the net to the bars wasn't that strong and the net was a little cheap so he got adhesive Velcro to use so the net didn't go anywhere.So 3 stars because so far my kids love it, it was MUCH bigger than I thought but the net was on cheaper side, only Velcro that was that strong to hold net on and it didn't ship in a box.
