This product comes in two configurations: gel, and aerosol. The literature that comes with it encourages you to pop off an occasional test shot to be confident it will work when you need it. The gel delivers the liquid much like a squirt gun, and it's pretty easy to pick a target (eyes, mouth, etc) and hit exactly what you aim for. The gel is much less of a threat to any nearby bystanders, and isn't going to get sucked up into an air vent and spread through the whole building. On the other hand, OMG the aerosol! I was running the AC in the ceiling and had two floor fans blowing at well when I casually pointed the aerosol device at the mirrored sliding door and gave it a squirt. They say karma's a bitch - well so is blow back. I didn't really get any of it on/in me, but all that air moving around in this room gave it an ..... unpleasant atmosphere. Bear in mind I didn't get it in my eyes or inhale it, but even so it was enough to ruin my day. The product performs as advertised! I would say, - get yourself 1 of each. Carry the gel unit when you plan on being indoors most of the time, and risk encountering someone belligerent about wearing their mask in the grocery store or casino. The aerosol, I think, is for out door situations where there's less risk of harming a bystander. Be aware of the wind and cover your nose/mouth when you deploy, and be advised you're probably going to have to get closer to your assailant for max effect. That said, I would sincerely recommend these products, and plan to buy a couple spares.

It works great

I like that this has a lot of pepper spray per can. It sprays a narrow stream, not a wide spray which is what I wanted. A stream is less susceptible to wind, rain and back spray and goes a further distance but you need to be more accurate with your aim (practice!). Wide sprays are more susceptible to rain dilution, wind and back spray + doesn't spray as far. However your aim doesn't have to be as accurate. Streams are better b/c you can nail someone from a much greater distance which gives you more time to escape or at least increase your distance from the threat. You have to be a lot closer to the attacker with wide sprays which means there's a much greater chance for them to hit, grab, stab or shoot you before you can get further way from harm. This can has a safety so you don't accidently spray it. The trigger requires some finger strength (I need to use both thumbs).

About 3 weeks ago and as a Senior Citizen of 70 years young, I got assaulted by an individual at a big chain store. I was left with a sprained knee, broken glasses, punctured nose and a black eye. Although, you hear this happening to others, this hit to close to home. I now carry the Vexor Self Defense Pepper Spray with its holster by my side. It's light and easy to pull out of its holster (if need be). I walk and feel safer with it on. It's like having my own bodyguard right next to me. I highly recommend the Vexor Self Defense Pepper Spray for those that feel unsafe in your immediate surroundings. And yes, always be prepared!

Sprays far & extremely potent. The only thing is, it’s super bulky (annoying to carry).

I test fired a 1 second burst outdoors and my first impression was "oh wow..." I was pleasantly surprised at the powerful stream and the large volume of pepper spray that was deployed at such a short burst. The canister is a little large but I think overall this is a great item.
