I just got my beloved DeWalt DW788 scroll saw. Can't wait to try many of these patterns.I like that the book has full-size patterns that can be copied. I've wanted this book for a few months but waited until I got the saw itself.My favorites to try will be the angels & the reindeer.Well made, good instructions. A keeper forever.

This is an excellent book full of beautiful ornaments. I have made each of the ornaments in the first section and my children have lined up to collect them for their trees. Because the ornaments are cut from 1.5 inch square blocks, I found the following to be helpful:1. Apply blue painters tape on the surfaces receiving the pattern. Use a liberal amount of spray adhesive to the pattern and apply to the blue tape. I also put packaging tape on the opposite sides. It is necessary to keep the blade lubricated in thick hardwood.2.Use good quality blades. I cut the blocks exclusively with Pegas #5 modified geometry blades. They are the best.3. A clamp is very helpful in controlling the wood and keeping fingers away from the blade and saw arm. I have attached a photo showing the clamp I made for this purpose.

Book is easy to read and understand , plenty of patterns to use and choose from. I have very much enjoyed cutting out my first 3d projects cannot seem to stop.

I made a bunch of Christmas ornaments from this book for family and Co-workers. I was really happy with the patterns, though I didn't cut out the inside parts of most patterns to give a beefier and stronger ornament. I recommend only cutting out the outside of the patterns. It still makes really cool ornaments but its faster and the ornaments will last longer because you won't have thin wood on the edges.

My Husband is happy with the book, but unhappy it was placed at the bottom of a box containing a heavy Pitcher Pump. The book was crushed by the weight of the pump. We don't want a refund or a replacement as he is copying the patterns so he can begin working on them for Christmas, but in the future it would be wise to not place something like a book containing patterns under an item as heavy as a Pitcher Pump.

I just bought this book to try and make ornaments. I found a lot of the patterns needed to be enlarged. There was plenty of room to put a full size pattern because the print was not that big. I do not have a printer that will enlarge a print, so I am disappointed in that. The patterns I could cut turned out really good, so I've just used them. My advise would be, if you can't enlarge the print, don't buy this book.

Awesome book

This is an excellent workbook. The diagrams are mfirst rate and the projects varied and interesting. I've already made a couple of items and am amazed at the results.
