Great product! They were a little on the small side but they were very compact with bones and skulls. I found about 9 or 10 little skulls and I even found a bird skull! Overall, these were fun, educational, and definitely worth buying!

Pellets contained full skulls and plenty of small bones to shift through. Would suggest having the right tools for the job as I’ve broken a few accidentally. Several hours worth of fun.

I still can't believe I can buy owl vomit on Amazon. Will wonders never cease? This will be useful in a classroom where students will learn about birds.

A little smaller than I thought they would be, but my pre-k students loved digging through and finding the different bones! Each pellet had at least 2 different skull bones so my students thought that was awesome. I would definitely purchase these again.

This is the second year we’ve purchased from here. Students love dissecting these pellets. It is such a great experiment for them in the food chain.

I got these for a couple of my friends and my kids to do and we loved it!! It was more fun than I remembered. The bones pictured are just from two pellets out of the six, not including the little skulls because they didn’t fit in the jars. The pellets were all almost the same size so it was fair. We each found almost full skeletons just in our one pellet, and the paper with the labeled bones was so helpful! It was very fun trying to guess what bone we had from what kind of animal, and then check to see if we were right or wrong. Definitely enjoyed! Also, maybe wear a mask while doing these. We did not and we felt like we inhaled dust from the pellets but we survived!

Someone on Facebook suggested these as a cool source of little bones for creating different things. These pellets are incredible! First things first though, I followed someone's thoughts... instructions... whatever you wanna call them and wet the pellet for "easier" removal of the nasty bits. DO NOT DO THIS!!!! I repeat, do not do this. You will be blessed with the most putrid smell to ever grace your poor nostrils and it'll make your eyes burn. It'll stink up your entire work space with the scent of owl vomit and make you question how you'll ever get even one of them separated, never mind all of them. Instead, leave the nasty little pellet dry and slowly work away the furry bits. This is much less gross and gag inducing. If you're lucky you'll get beautiful intact skulls and more. We averaged 4 skulls per pellet, lots of other bones, and are beyond happy with our purchase and quality. Just keep in mind, like a gremlin... do not add water!

What I ordered is exactly what arrived! It came very quickly and I am very pleased with the quality. My students will enjoy this activity very much!

My grade 4 homeschool student and her friend dissected two of the pellets this past weekend. The one photo I've added shows just how many bones they found in the two and that wasn't all of the bones. What a great way to learn about owls and the food chain. It was a great activity and we will buy from this vendor in the future.
