Great stove and system if you can get one undamaged
I am a Scoutmaster and have purchased 3 of the Genesis Systems. For the most part, the stove is great. It is difficult to connect to the propane due to poor design. However, it provides very accurate low and high flame. It is very reliable and very well built. The system packs into the case and takes up very little room compared to typical car camping stoves and pots. The problem is with the pans. They get damaged in shipping and are easily damaged in regular transport. So far 3 of the units had to be returned due to brand new damaged pans. If you are lucky enough to receive a bundle with good pans, consider storing the propane regulator separately. It does the most damage in transport.Jetboil's warranty service is bad as well. With the 3 problems above, I want to give this 2 stars. But the stove itself is amazing.

we loved it. It cooks evenly
When we first received this unit, we loved it. It cooks evenly, heats soups quickly and stores conveniently. However after just a few uses, the frying pan dented very easily and the inside coated immediately started peeling rendering the pan completely useless :( This cooking system is very expensive and to have it fail, even partially, after just a few uses is ridicules. We have contacted Jetboil and waiting to see if they will stand behind their product.Edit: Jetboil's customer service was very good. They sent us a new pan without issue (although we had to pay return shipping). Now just a month later and a few more uses the burner on the right side stopped working. We were out in the woods with no other way to cook and miles to the nearest store. This was very inconvenient. I contacted customer service upon our return and they are sending us a new unit. Conclusion: Jetboil has great customer service but this product is not worth the money. I would look elsewhere.

Great Design, Great Idea | Frustratingly Poor Quality Materials and Fabrication
I opened the unit, and found numerous scratches on the inside of the stock pot caused by the rivets which were protruding from the plastic bracket used to hold the unit together. Seems to have rubbed off the anodized / plated layer of the pot in those areas. The pot lid was also scuffed up on the inside, and there seems to have been an inconsistency in the application of the aluminum coating (or the surface coating is applied before the aluminum is drawn and causing the surface coating to crack) in the drip pans on the burner nearest the fuel. The entire drip pan was like this around all of the formed edges. The fabrication of the grates was also very poorly done, with burrs and sharp edges coated over. As these flaws are obviously not ideal for a unit this expensive, they could have been grudgingly lived with. Please see detailed photos.Got home and connected a propane tank, turned on the gas and both piezo ignitors lit the burners on the first try. Both burners worked great. Very consistent flame all the way around and awesome graduation of the flame from extremely low to extremely high. Then I turned it off. Went to fire it up again, and the burner nearest the fuel stopped getting gas, but the second burner would fire. Fiddled with the controls, removed and reattached the fuel, all for naught. The first burner fired once, and that was it. No idea what would have caused it, and other than removing the grate and drip pan, any other efforts trying to inspect it on your own voids the warranty, so I decided to return it.Great design and simple concept. If there was a book called Operating Camping Stoves for Dummies, this would be on the cover. However for the price of this thing, higher quality workmanship and materials are to be expected. Certainly it should not be expected to fail on the second use in the comfortable environs of a home garage. Although they do not offer dual burner systems, if you are looking for quality, reliability and superior flame control, stick with the Iwatani cartridge types.

Really like the stove for car camping with the family
Really like the stove for car camping with the family. It's a very efficient design for both fuel and space. The pot and pan are great for family size meals. I also bring a couple of other nestable pots along which also work well with the stove. Flame control is good. Also got the luna satellite burner and a jetboil java kit which will boil a quart of water in what seems like less than a minute.Like other people who have left reviews, I had the propane regulator malfunction after only a moderate amount of use. Also, the fuel line from the regulator is rigid. This set up makes it impossible to get the propane cannister to stand vertical while cooking. I bought the another regulator with a flexible fuel hose. It works much better than the original and still works after at least 3 times as much use as the original. Once I figured out that it worked I bought another regulator as a back up so I don't get stranded without a stove. For this, I purchased the Stansport regulator with 30-inch hose for 1 lb propane cannister from Amazon.
