Nookums are so awesome. When my son got another popular brand of pacifier with lovey attached I was happy to see that it was easier for him to keep his pacifier in his mouth. My biggest gripe was that I couldn’t sterilize it or clean the plushy easily. Then I found these. With an detachable pacifier it makes it easy to clean, sterilize the pacifier or even switch it out for the brand your baby prefers. Still helps keep the pacifier where it belongs and makes it easier to find when dropped. It’s soft and our son loves to grab onto the lion now that he’s better able to grasp it. There may not be as many options for lovies as another brand but there are still cute options and I feel like the benefits of Nookums outweigh the few things like more plush options. Plus, they cost less and are still soft and really well made. I would love it if they came out with more- we have the elephant and the lion so far.

Overview: The Nookums Turtle is the perfect size for resting on the baby's chest in a swing, carseat, bouncer etc to keep a pacifier in place. We have used it with a Soothie and a MAM and it works equally well with both. The turtle has a little rattle inside that makes a pleasant sound. Pros: The toy is cute and does help keep the pacifier in place. The silicone attachment is very easy to take on and off and pacifiers can be cleaned much easier than a Wubbanub. Pacifier is less likely to get lost. Cons: This is true for any pacifier stuffed animal toy I think, but once the baby is grasping objects sometimes the toy can be a liability and baby pulls out the pacifier by grabbing the stuffed animal. I don't use it when I'm holding the baby upright and I don't think it will be useful once the baby is sitting alone because the weight will probably pull the pacifier out. I don't let the baby sleep in a crib with it just because I don' trust that somehow it could be a danger for the same reason you aren't supposed to have other stuffed toys in the crib. Would I recommend: Yes, particularly for ages birth - 4/5 months.

My baby loves this! Not only is it super cute, but the softer binkie which made it so easy to use. I love how safe they are and i can let my baby test the durability / play with it/ hold and get used to it! I love that there are so many color options and animal choices!

I like this better than the Wubbanub for the sheer fact of the removability. Like, someone was finally thinking. I love Wubbanubs but their biggest and only flaw is that you can’t take off the paci to sterilize it. I’ve cleaned them by hand w little issue, sure, but to sterilize it? No. This product takes care of that issue. I would say the only annoying thing is that you have to use their pacis w it. It would be nice to just have it be interchangeable if need be. If you can make it removable, you can make it universally sized. But otherwise the paci itself looks like the Soothie brand paci of the Wubbanub, just with a different backing so the ring can get around it. I’ve already detached the Fox plushy and sterilized the paci w ease. The fox looks just like the picture. $15 is really expensive for these things and Wubbanub is just as guilty. That’s why I liked the removability feature so I could use it w additional pacis (obviously of the same brand). Hopefully baby even likes these pacis lol that would suck but I guess its totally possible he won’t. He arrives in a couple weeks so fingers crossed. UPDATE: Baby likes the pacis, so thats a relief. We use it a lot. I have a Wubbanub and this and he can't really tell the difference. We use the removability feature pretty frequently. His hands dont stop moving so he frequently pulls it out of his mouth if he has a grip on the plushy. Otherwise he likes to hold it and it helps with wedging it down to keep it in his mouth.

This little lobster is too adorable! I bought this in hopes to get my 16 month off his soothie and on to an orthodontic pacifier as recommended by our pediatrician. When used with an orthodontic pacifier it gives the same feel as the beloved “wubbanub” however those only come with the 0-3 month soothie. One of the other moms said she heard of someone’s child biting through the 0-3 month soothie in their crib. So far only my Siberian husky has been able to do this. I also saw you can get a modified wubbanub on Etsy but my Son doesn’t like the 3+ month soothie as it’s a lot harder. So I used the Nookums with a MAM pacifier and it works great. It hasn’t come off or anything. The only thing is the wubbanub soothie stays upright when the child grabs and can easily pick up and put in his mouth in the dark. This one is a little floppy so it requires a bit more skill as you can’t just grab it by the stuffed animal part you really have to grab the pacifier directly. I was impressed with the quality of this item it felt solid and will hold up to the wear and tear of a toddler. So far we’re still trying to get him off the soothie that may be the toddler equivalent of giving up smoking. We’ll keep trying!

The only negative in that the paci is a tiny bit heavier due the the extra pacifier holder attached to the lovey. I understand that the purpose of that is to be able to add other new pacis onto the lovey. But we have always had SOOTHIE lovey pacis that are attached STRAIGHT to the lovey. Like sewn in the cloth or super glued in, whatever. So they weigh less and they do not move up and down like this one. Which is hard for baby to pick up and place back in their mouth cause it keeps falling down on the “ring” that holds it. It also makes it weigh more and they feel bulky. And I will never need to switch the paci out cause my baby only takes the soothie hospital kind like this one it comes with. I am not sure why anyone would need to switch it out, honestly. You can wash pacis. But I liked the Turtle and I also ordered the Lobster one! & No one else has these cute animals! We get lots of compliments and “Awwww” and he loves it so...

We lost my baby’s WubbaNub a few days before a road trip so naturally I went on Amazon to order a new one. The Nookums Paci-Plushies popped up along with the WubbaNubs. I read several reviews and decided to give it a try. I was initially sent the wrong one (not the company’s fault, Amazon is the one who sends it out). I emailed the company and they immediately sent out the correct one. Here is how I feel they compare with the WubbaNubs: Weight: I noticed some reviewers found the WubbaNubs to be heavier and stay in better. I did not. The plush animals appear to be the same weight and size. The Paci-Plushies are slightly heavier by the pacifier part. Pacifiers: the WubbaNubs are attached directly to Soothies, while the Paci-Plushies come with a soothie-like pacifier and can attach to almost any other ones. This is a huge plus if your baby prefers a specific type and you don’t have to toss the plush toy if the pacifier breaks. Price: Basically the same price for both, some WubbaNub options are slightly cheaper and some are more expensive. Options: the WubbaNubs have more options, but I find the Paci-Plushies to be cuter. I hope they will continue to add more animals. Overall, I am very pleased and plan to buy more when I need baby gifts. In the past I have given WubbaNubs, but I find these to be more practical.
