Works great in my 14.5" / 20oz lamps (smaller than the standard size lamps, those take 40w bulbs!)However bulb is slightly hotter than the stock bulbs. I was able to solve this by making a flat ring / collar of aluminum foil and placing it around the bulb, slightly higher than the bulb. The globe than smooshes it down a bit, which is fine. This allows light to still get through to illuminate the globe, but also distances the globe from the bulb slightly and absorbs some of the heat like a heat-sink. Now it works perfectly and the price was great. If the bulbs were dimmable you could just use a dimmer adapter. Anyway, took like 30 seconds and minimal effort to make my lamps work great, and for a good price, so 5 stars
