Lucas Oil 10279 Engine Oil Stop Leak - 1 Gallon

I have a little oil leak to the ground, after useing lucas stop leak , it stops.

I am astounded by this oil additive! I've never been one to use oil or antifreeze additives in the past, however I heard a mechanic talking about this product and I figured what the heck. I have a 2002 GMC Yukon with the typical rear main leak, and I mean LEAK! The engine would leave puddles wherever I went and I would often need to add 1/2 a quart every other week or so. I was quoted approximately $2200.00 to repair the rear main, which is nearly what the vehicle is worth so that was out of the question. So I gave this a try and I am shocked! I have only driven approx 200 miles (I do not drive much and all my driving is in town) so far and I keep checking the oil...and each time I check the stick reads full! I would have needed to add at least 1/2 quart by now! I just cannot say enough about this product and I will certainly recommend Lucas oil stop leak to anyone. I have also noticed my engine sounds better and it doesn't seem to be burning oil anymore as well! The spots under the vehicle have shrunk to just a few drips so I will continue to use with each oil change. Saved me $2200 for sure and my engine has 182,000 miles on it. Kudos to Lucas Oil!!

I am not a mechanic! My 2001 Ford Ranger 4.0 with 168K miles on it developed a minor engine oil leak. The leak was not substantial, but it was an annoyance and enough to stain my driveway. I bought the gallon size of this product and during my next oil change substituted one quart of oil with this. After about 400 the leak stopped. Three thousand miles later, I changed the oil again and substituted one quart of oil with this and my driveway is still dry. The 20% mixture has not altered the oil pressure or the sound of the engine. I buy Kirkland signature five quart containers of oil. I remove one quart of oil from the jug and put one quart of stop leak into the jug and from there pour it into the engine. Due to its viscosity, pouring one undiluted quart of stop leak is time consuming. Given the price and the age of my truck, I figured that I’d give this product a try before getting into the co$tly replacement of seals.

This stopped my oil leaks for about 2 oil changes. There is no magical solution for replacing leaking gaskets, but this did help.

I have a 2016 international prostar with a cummings engine ixs. It had a front engine seal leak. I added this at my last oil change. It took about two weeks and it stopped leaking oil. Yes I was surprised because I added only one gallon, not to mention that I really didn't think it would work. My leak was so bad it was oil was blowing on my right steer brake, this has save me some time.I have 960000 miles on my engine, trying to hold out until a rebuild .

I've used Lucas Oil products for years and swear by them. I just recently bought a 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 HD with a Cummins diesel and the mechanic I took it to for an inspection told me the engine had multiple leaks (didn't specify their severity). I just did my first oil change and substituted 2 quarts of oil for the Lucas Engine Stop leak and the engine is loving it. I will deep clean the engine and see if there's an improvement with the leaks. In future oil change I will substitute 1 quart of oil for this product as recommended by Lucas.

I use this as a periodic additive for my engine as the "stop leak" function is not as good as other products I am using. Quiets down the engine immediately and lasts awhile.
