There is no 'slide adapter' in the packaging, but all of the instructions say to use it. anyone know what i'm doing wrong???? ;(

Thank you for inquiring about a Danco product. The Diverter Tub Spout in Chrome #88703 should come with a slide adapter (part A in your instructions) which slides onto the stub out. I would recommend taking the package you purchased back to your local hardware store to exchange for another. All together your Tub spout pack should come with a slide adapter, o-ring, slide extension nipple, slide retainer ring, screw, and new spout. This should be assembled in this order with your thread tape.

Is everything needed for the kit included?

yes- easy to install - make sure you use a rag or some kind of padding when turning the spicket on the pipe, don't want to mare the chrome surface and scratch it like i did, since it was in the kids bathroom it didn't matter. Works great

Your video shows a faucet without a diverter and shows plastic parts that are not shown as included with this faucet. Do we get those parts?

This faucet has a diverter, but it does not work as a replacement since the guts don't reach. I bought the parts to reach and the faucet broke the next day leaking water into my basement. Cheap plastic. Don't buy.

Will this fit a 3 1/2 inch long 1/2 inch copper pipe stub out?

Thank you for your interest in Danco products. No, unfortunetly this tub spout would not work your application. This spout will only fit a 1/2"X 2-3" copper stub out, 1/2" X 1/2"-3/4" IPS thread stub out and 1/2" x 4" IPS thread long stub out.
