The Named and the Nameless: 2018 Prison Writing Awards Anthology (Prison Writing Anthology) Paperback – September 1, 2018

I purchased this book after spending time volunteering and working in a correctional facility. Knowing the gifts those I worked with had, I knew it would not disappoint. And it most certainly did not. I would recommend this book to anyone, as it sheds a new light on those who deserve to have their names known.

Very interesting read! This book humanizes the “criminals” society is essentially allowed to hate. Mass incarceration is real in the US. Let’s try and fix our prison systems.

I love the sense of hope and wonder that shines through some of these stories, even from the darkest of places. The illustrations are beautiful and raw. Wonderful anthology.
