Good size, add a few dollars to the cost and use a better chain

The guitar is very detailed and stands out with any shirt. My friend loved it.

I picked this up when it was as at a huge discount for about $4. (They lowered it to nearly that now, looks like. Good move.) even though gold isn’t my favorite I bought it - sentimental reasons. Unfortunately, I have to tell you that in person it looks terrible compared to the picture - honestly, it’s bad, like little kid bubble gum machine stuff. There’s no contrast between the gold and the rest of the piece. Actually to my eyes, it completely disappears unless you get it under the exact right angle of light, and I’m sure that or photoshop is the reason the product picture looks okay. If the gold were silver or black or literally anything else it would help. I gave it two stars for being inexpensive; otherwise it’d be a one I think. To be fair, cost considered, I do want to add that it would have been three stars, but the 18” chain isn’t worth a half of a penny. [Basically, I just paid four bucks for garbage; kind of the equivalent of a Scientology pamphlet handed to you on the street, “Here, now *you* get to throw this away *for me*.” ...Except, then they take your lunch money, I guess?] I *can’t even call this chain color gold*. It’s a really cheap chain, brassy yellow and has the quality and style of a clasp that screams “junk!” Which, obviously, not the greatest thing, since I have literally no other gold colored chain to put it on. I’m a strictly silver or steel colored gal usually, but my mother played a fender strat and passed it to me when she died of cancer, and she did like gold; I love the memories of her teaching me guitar and it reminded me of her. Talk about a disappointment! (Seriously, this necklace is so ugly it now officially has a review with the phrase “died of cancer” in it, used without any trace of irony... I’m being tongue in cheek about it here so I don’t write ‘Sucks!’ and then walk off without explanation.) Maybe I’ll paint the charm over? Silver and black (or literally anything else) would be better than brass and enamel that baffles me by looking like an especially poor quality of plastic. Finally, and I know the pictures I posted don’t do it justice, but it’s too large to look like anything an adult human would willingly put on unless it were for a Halloween costume. Every single detail of this piece highlights the cheap fakes craftsmanship, and calls your attention to the poor quality just by the fact the details *exist*, so that didn’t deserve a star. I’m thinking a supermassive black hole would be appropriate. I’m giving two to be -nice-.

The color was nice; thought the price was a little high for it.

I received this as a gift a few weeks ago. It is very beautifully detailed and the colour is vibrant. I am not a big fan of gold colour in all honesty, however that is a personal preference. The chain seems a bit stiff and perhaps a little fragile. I am always gentle when putting it on or removing it for the fear that I may break the chain or the clasp. The gold plating on the chain near the clasp has faded already as well. The chain will be easily replaceable I am sure and all that aside, I will reiterate that the pendant is wonderful and I get lots of compliments when I wear this! Update: 13.07.2015 The chain broke right near the clasp about a month ago. I will be looking for a replacement chain for it. I was quite sad but it seemed a bit frail so I expected it.

If i saw this pendant in the store before buying it I'd pay 6 dollar for it ,the most. All that you see black there, the pickups, the '12 screws', tone knobs, strings.. all that is golden, which you would think it's cool but when it's against a white background it doesn't make any contrast. If they would have made the guitar neck golden and all the details black they would be more visible. The red color is darker than the one in the picture. Also if they were paying so much attention to detail at least they would have placed the fretboard dots right, not a fret after. In conclusion, this is just the shape of a fender stratocaster. There's no fender logo anywhere except for a squiggly line that looks like it so there's really no reason to pay so much for it.
