HiramWare Stainless Steel Colander with Handle and Legs, 5 Qt, Pink

This colander is great and I wish I'd seen and ordered it sooner. I had been using a traditional, stainless steel colander with some holes in a fancy pattern, but it didn't drain anything very well. I saw this colander and decided to try it and it works so much better! It has hundreds of small holes that let the liquid out quickly while retaining the solids in the bowl. It is lightweight but sturdy, the handles stay cool. I've rinsed rice and lentils and none go through the holes. Pasta drains quickly so it doesn't get cold while you wait for the water to drain away. Fruit washes easily in it. It holds the same amount as my old colander, but isn't as tall, so it fits better in the cupboard. I've only had it a couple of months so I can't report on its long-term durability, but it seems sturdy. It is easy to wash. I'm very glad I ordered it.

Strainers are always a pain to clean but this is less so due to the fact that the entire inside bowl space doesn't have any ridges or lips for things to potentially get trapped under. The holes are a nice size that isn't too small or too big. It is also easy to sit the strainer inside a larger bowl which I do when making yogurt (while lined with cheesecloth). It is cute and serves it's purpose perfectly.

Lite but sturdy. Just the right size for me. Not disappointed at all. Drains as a colander should. Good buy. Sturdy handles, solid feel.

This was purchased for my daughter and she likes it. It’s pretty good quality, lightweight, and dishwasher safe. Nice product for the money.

Works well. A very nice strainer

I’ve had this for a while now and realized I never reviewed it. It really is well made. Zero rust even though it’s languished in the sink a time or two. Good for rinsing food, straining pasta, etc. I love the pink trim, which hasn’t separated or even threatened to. The handles fit across one side of the double sink in my apartment. Very handy.

This is the best colander I have ever purchased. I am a preschool cook and when it comes to dumping out pasta water or canned fruits & veggies this is amazing. It strains the liquid so fast and so thorough, so much better than any of the other colanders I have in the kitchen (at work or home). This is, by far, my favorite

Very easy to clean. My other colander had a edge on bottom that was hard to clean and dry. I love the fact you can just put it in the dishwasher and the bottom has little to no profile. Nothing gets stuck in between. Love it!

Finally a colander that does what it's supposed to! I was fed up of ones that didn't drain properly and swishing things around to get the water out. I had resorted to using a sieve, but was determined to find one that works properly. This one is great and the holes are small enough to drain rice too
