JQK Spring Loaded Latch Pin, 304 Stainless Steel Barrel Bolt Thickened 2mm Door Lock, 5 Inch Brushed Finished(2 Pack), HSB300-P2

I purchased these to place on top and bottom of one of the two 2x4 framed doors I placed on my backyard shed. The post is nice and long, so it easily accommodated the gap I have between the door and the frame. There is an 'open' catch so you can keep the pin lifted up for the door to swing freely when not in use. Probably in the description, but I didn't remember that as a feature when I installed these, but very happy it is there. Because of how I framed the door, I needed one of the metal catches to be flat. The metal is pretty thick (well constructed!!) so I couldn't hammer it completely flat, but certainly flat enough--not disappointed at all in having to mod that or in how it turned out. Thee are well made and I can't see how they will fail any time soon--i anticipated *many* years of use, like they will likely outlive me. Easy to install. I did use some longer screws than those provided for greater holding power and since I had the thickness of 2x4s to work with, that is possible in my installation. The threads on the provided screws are wide/coarse so they are probably ample if you had to work in constraints of thinner material. Very happy and would purchase again.

Purchased these for a barn door. They were used to make sure the cross 2x4 that keeps the door shut stays in place (on a second floor of a barn). They can be latched in an open position for easy cross bar removal or the spring will keep in place when latched closed. Keep kids safe if on the second floor of the barn.

Product is strong, well made, fair price, works perfectly and is exactly what I needed.

Installed these on my chicken coop. They work great and allow for the older kids to open with ease. And I know it will be secure. I’ve used them for 6 months now and can see some of the black scratching off in the common scratch areas.

Good quality. Simple function and an easy install to lock and keep closed tight a double door on a shed. Screws are garbage so just replace them with quality screws
