Solid ACT guide and workbook!
Absolutely one of the best books I’ve come across for ACT. It’s well written, easy to understand by both ACT clinicians and lay people (as evidenced by 3 of my friends grabbing this and utilizing the tools within it without any prior knowledge of ACT). I love the extended portions of each chapter that allow you to really dive in deeper to each focus. The exercises are straightforward and offer action based living opportunities so important for ACT success. I can’t say enough about how much I enjoy this book and will continue to use it with clients and myself!

Lots of inspiration and very practical :)
I became interested in "Mindfulness and Acceptance: Workbook for stress Reduction" because of the desire to start a group for people who want to deal better with stress. I am an ACT therapist, so focusing on mindfulness and acceptance is very familiar to me. Despite this, I was not disappointed with this position due to the large dose of inspiration and practical exercises for immediate application in a group context. I highly recommend not only people who are struggling with stress, but also to practitioners. -MF

Practical tools for stress reduction in accessible format
This is a gem of a book! Accessible enough for anyone to benefit from and learn very hands-on practical skills for reducing the negative impact of stress while also being solid enough to use as an adjunct to clinical treatment. As a mental health professional I find is useful for both my patients and myself. The language is easy and accessible without being glib or making light of the struggles of managing a busy life. A really top notch resource!

Fabulous
This workbook is fantastic. I'm a clinician (social worker in dual diagnosis clinic) as well as a mindfulness teacher. Initially I thought it might be helpful for clinical work and teaching, but honestly I've mostly been reading it for myself. It's so clear. I love ACT, but if you've read "Get Out of Your Mind and Into Your Life", you know it's a bit heady at times for a workbook on getting out of your mind. But I'm a nerd, so honestly I don't mind that. However, the best is when people really distill, refine, and curate what you need to know--that's what you find here. I've gotten so into it I've even started checking out the books they mention within this book. It's an intelligent, digestible, pragmatic, and eminently useful workbook. It's already improved my life. Highly recommended.

Very informative and accessible
I found this book to be very informative, with lots of good and relevant psychoeducation. It could be used alone as a self-help guide or as a useful adjunct to therapy. There were lots of exercises to try that were well laid out and clearly described. The chapters broke things down into manageable sections. It is very easy to feel completely overwhelmed and almost paralysed when under stress but this book provides a helpful and practical guide to managing this and to mobilising your resources by drawing on what is important to you.

Practical, easy to follow and implement.
I have read mean books on Mindfulness and ACT and this one is an excellent blend theory, psycho-education and practical work. The exercises are easy to follow and it has helped me to identify my values and modify my actions to match these. The chapters are well structured and sequential. The character of Angela is weaved into the book and the description of problems helps me relate it to my own life and brings the book alive The audios that accompany these books are effective in terms of grounding and being present. Overall one a really good book with practical tips to reduce stress, be more present and live a life aligned to our core values. I would definitely recommend it.
