Oil Filter Wrench 14-Sided with 1/2" Drive and 22 mm External HexagonOver the years I've used many methods to remove the modern canister oil filters. At the beginning it was the rather crude method of driving a screwdriver through the side of the filter and forcefully unscrewing it, a messy and often unreliable method. Then came the adjustable strap that gripped around the sides of the filter, a bit hit and miss as there often wasn't the room to turn the tool. Then came a similar device which was made from metal... and so on.Now we have this tool, which I have to say is the best of the lot. It's very sturdy being made from alloy, the tool just slides over the bottom of the filter. This oil filter tool is great, it fits my oil filter perfectly and works as expected.The only problem with this is that if you have an oil filter with a square end on for tools, this adaptor does not fit onOn Top of this the wrench adaptor is rather lightweight, which is good for maneuvering it in tight spaces and you have a light grip on your wrench, but shows it is made out of lower quality materials, which can be worn down if the filter is not on completely and the adaptor slips, however this is unlikely if you know how to use wrenches, which if you are reading this you more than likely know how to use one

This is a nice tool - previously I used a set of pipe wrenches to remove the oil filters where access was limited, or a strap with a chain.This is a shallow tool, very lightweight but sturdy. I used this on a couple of jobs for friends and family to help them with small services. The tool performed perfectly in both cases.I would absolutely recommend this tool to anyone looking a simple and effective way to remove oil filters.

This is a great thing to have if you do your own oil change. Fits on my Audi A3 2016 filter just fine. This fits over the end of the oil filter and you just need a 1/2” socket wrench and a extended bar and it comes straight off. Didn’t fit my BMW where the filter has a plastic cap on top. Did however fit the Skoda and worked perfectly.It’s normally really hard to remove an oil filter if you don’t have the right tools. This makes it simple. I used a adjustable spanner to turn it as I had left my socket set at a friends. This worked fine.Does the job as expected, if your looking to change filters regularly then definitely a good investment

Very good. Really easy to use. Stable and sturdy. I needed it to service my car on my own, instead of going to a garage. I am really happy with it. I am not profi with cars, but do know what and where needs to be changed if there are faults. So this is really handy tool to have.
