Sarasa Clip B-JJB15-FB Gel Ballpoint Pen, 0.7, Blue Black, 10 Pieces

I'm a big pen nerd and love all sorts of pens. For extended writing, I use a fountain pen with custom inks, but for regular day-to-day or work needs, these Sarasa Clip pens are excellent. These pens are basically the same form factor as the Pilot G2 pens for the most part, but the quality of the ink in these is what makes the difference. This gel ink goes onto most papers with excellent flow and "bite" and doesn't skip or dry out. The blue-black is just dark enough to seem black, but just light enough for those who like blue inks. The ink also dries quickly, doesn't smear when highlighted, doesn't run when wetted with water or alcohol, and is of archival quality. These pens exude Japanese quality, even for a relatively low cost item. Highly recommended.

I didn't think I'd ever become one of those people that stans a pen, yet here we are. This is, bar none, the best pen for me. It has an easy writeability that just makes the words glide. Smearing never happens for me. The color is perfect - not too stark of black, but not too blue (it turns more blue as the ink starts to run out). I tried dozens of pens over the past few years, even trying fountain pens and returning to mechanical pencils to see what I liked. I first found this pen at a department store in Osaka, and loved it. I rationed it for as long as possible, until I realized that Amazon sold it. I will keep using this pen for as long as they make it and Amazon continues to sell it.

Zebra pens are great, and these gel pens are no exception. I like gel pens for their bold writing line, and these are excellent

The Zebra Sarasa Pens have been my go-to all-purpose pens for a while now. Everything about it screams Japanese craftsmanship, from the amount of ink they give you, the quality of the clip, to the smoothness of the steel that they use on the ballpoint tip. I use 0.7mm for general writing and the 1.0mm when I want something circled or written in bold. The combination of blue/black ink is incredibly beautiful and it shines as it comes out of the pen for a brief moment until quickly drying on the page. You will never look at your co-workers pens the same again, you may even pity them and their belief that the Pilot G-2 is the best available. No, Jim, the Pilot G-2 is simply the only good thing that you'll find at Staples. It is by no means even close to the best thing in town.

Bought 10 Zebra Sarasa pens. Received a box with 10 individually package gel pens. I really like the dark blue color, which is hard to find these days. The writing on the left was written by this pen, the writing on the right is just for comparison.

very smooth

I was using the weighted sarasa but the price was adding up. These use the same LV insert and write nearly as smooth. The same complaints as most any Zebra is the pocket clasp does not hold up to thicker materials like work pants. Good value.

I've been using these daily for 2 months. I go through a lot of refills but not even one has cracked so far due to the spring tension. I've owned all other variants of this brand and they all split open like coconuts due to the pressure of clicking it in and out.

Love these pens! Smooth writing, easy to hold, they last quite a long time, and are relatively inexpensive. Great all round pen, in fact they write better than many really expensive pens (pens that cost $500 plus)!
