My dog loves his food! He looks forward to it every meal. I like that there is turkey & venison as the first ingredient. He has allergies in the past with other foods but this hasn’t upset his stomach since he has been eating it.

My English Bulldog gives this food two dew claws up! He’s tried a few different flavors and loves them all. Since he was a puppy he’s been a very picky eater. We tried raw, Purina Pro Plan dry, wet and everything in between but he just wouldn’t eat the recommended amount daily. Since he stared eating Purina One True Instinct he’s a card carrying member of the clean bowl club! I rotate flavors with each bag and he loves the variety. He’s gained weight, he has more energy and he seems much happier. He HIGHLY recommends this food!

My dog is a very picky eater, so finding a food he actually loves is a challenge. He absolutely LOVES this Purina ONE True Instinct! He gets excited when it’s time to eat and actually finishes his food instead of picking at it. The turkey and venison flavor seems to be a big hit with him. I’m definitely happy to have finally found a food that my picky eater enjoys!

I have purchased probably a dozen different brands of dry dog food for my two dogs (one 57 pounds, the other 105 pounds) trying some of the most expensive, nutritionally perfect, supposedly highly recommended dog foods, and spent a lot of money searching. My dogs liked none of them. I tried the Costco Kirkland brand that they would eat until last year when the maker of this dog food started using chickens from China (so I was informed) and my dogs as well as the dogs of a good friend all stopped eating the Kirkland food, one dog suffered extensive rashes from it (according to the vet). So for the past year I have been searching for a food that these two very spoiled dogs would like and eat. Again, I have tried numerous premium brands, none of which my dogs liked and would readily eat. They would only eat these foods after getting so hungry that there was nothing else in their bowls, these expensive foods being there for two days. I have avoided Purina products for a long time, ever since Nestle bought Purina and started cheapening and making the dog and cat foods pure junk (all for greater profits --- Nestle is good at this, doing this very thing with most of the people foods that they have taken over from other companies too --- I had one dog who lived over 12 years on Purina Pro Plan and loved it, well that is until Nestle bought Purina and changed the food, then suddenly he would not eat it). So, I avoid anything with the Nestle name on it. But early last week at the supermarket, this particular Purina One Smartblend True Instinct Turkey and Venison food was being put on the shelves for the first time there. The employee shelving the food told me that it goes off the shelves as fast as he can put it up there, that apparently dogs like it and lots of owners are buying it. I read the nutrition on the package, looked at the ingredients and both looked nearly as good as some of the very costly premium foods (read some of my other reviews here on Amazon) that I had tried for my dogs and they refused. The only two things that I did not like about this food was first, it is Nestle, and secondly, the second ingredient is corn. However the first ingredient is Turkey, which is supposed to make up at least 50% of the food. The protein and fat counts were good as any of the foods I have tried. So I bought a 15 pound bag. I brought it home and put it in my two dogs bowls and they instantly went for it, emptying their bowls clean. I have not seen them eat dog food in this manner for a long time, and they both are 3 years old. I was surprised, but happy, and decided that I would buy more for them, and if they continue to eat it, well, it will become their food. I will keep the vet checks up just to make sure that they are getting good nutrition and watch their coats, their eyes, and observe if their levels of activities remain high. A couple months of this food will tell me all that. If it is good, and if Nestle does not decide to cheapen and adulterate this food --- my dogs I am sure will stop eating it if this happens --- then perhaps we three can live a very happy life together. As of today, I love this food, and I truly hope that my search has ended. Should something different result from this food, I will come back and amend this review with that information. Today it gets 5 stars. Since writing this review, my order of one 27.5 bag and one 7.5 bag (two bags to get $35 free shipping from Amazon) arrived today UPS. We will see how long my dogs will eat this food, hopefully they will eat it the same as the first bag that prompted this review. While I dislike the fact that Nestle is making this food, it still remains that this is the only dry food I have found in over a year that both dogs eat till none is left in their bowls. I do hope that they do not get sick from it, and I will be watching them very close, because I still do not trust Nestle for anything food, people or pet food.

This dog food is a solid option if you’re looking for something high in protein with real meat as the first ingredient. On the downside, while it markets itself as natural, the ingredient list still includes fillers like grains and some processed ingredients, so it’s not as “clean” as higher-end options. Overall: A good mid-range dog food that balances nutrition and cost well—great for everyday feeding, but not top-tier if you’re looking for premium ingredients.

These pups, ages 7 and 2, go crazy over this food. I such back and forth between the turkey and venison, and beef and salmon, both in the True Instinct line. They gobble it up immediately. Dry kibble mixed equally with suffer meaty chunks gives it interesting textures. It's a decent price for quality food. There are not a bunch of weird colors or dyes in this food so far as I can tell. My pups never get sick on it and it keeps them happy.

I have two dogs with very different needs, and this food has been a win for both of them. My German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix used to sort through his bowl and pick out the pieces he actually wanted leaving half his food behind depending on the brand. With Purina ONE True Instinct, he eats every single bite. No sorting, no leftovers. That alone sold me. My older Pitbull is the other reason I keep coming back to this food. She had some noticeable joint stiffness for a while and I wasn't sure how much longer she'd be her active self. Since switching, she's been moving around like she's got a new lease on life. I can't say enough about the difference it's made for her. The 36 lb. bag is great value for multi-dog households. Highly recommend, especially if you've got a picky eater or a senior dog who needs a little extra support.

Purina one true instinct is my go to brand for my Dobermans. 🐾 so many nutrients, helps my dogs joints considering her breed, age and weight (Doberman, 4 y/o, 83lbs), healthy gums, skin and coat. This one in particular is one of my dogs favorite considering the venison flavor. I like to make white rice and boil chicken to sprinkle on top of her dog food or just simply adding 1-2 eggs. This bag is worth your money! So much food. The dog food of course stinks to me but my dog loves it 😆

I think it's great but I have to figure out a way to stop the dog from eating it off my plate!

Prix exagéré 66$ pour deux sacs de 3,4 lbs. Je commande en ligne pour ne pas lever de sac lourd avec des hernies discales, je pensais avois 3,4 kg. Ça a pris 2 semaines à avoir ma commande et n'a pas été livré chez-moi, même après 2 appels.
