Litter Genie Cat Litter Box in Flexible Plastic with Handles, High Walls

I originally got the sifting litterbox (because it's popular), but true to what I was thinking, it's too small, about the size of a dishtub, but not as deep. So, I got this Litter Genie litterbox instead, not only because the size was bigger, but I figured I could at least try dumping the litter into the sifting litterbox and then sifting it, to see how that worked. Well, to my surprise and delight, it works great and I actually don't mind dealing with the litterbox now, something I never expected. It's awkward to have the implements of both systems in my small laundry room, but, hey, at least the ease of cleaning the litterbox means it gets done and so the extra sifting litterbox system in addition to this wonderful Litter Genia litterbox is worth the trouble. I figure I lucked out because I'm getting the best of both worlds ... first, this larger Litter Genie litterbox with the very convenient handles, plus the very convenient sifting method, which is 100x better than scooping. The whole system kinda hinges on the ease of pouring the litter from the Litter Genie litterbox into the sifting litterbox ... and I can tell you that it's easy. Some people mentioned that the pour "spout" eventually cracked from pouring while "squeezing" the two handles together .... but I just lift and "tip" the whole thing into the sifter litterbox with no problem at all and I highly recommend doing it that way, while resting the Genie litterbox on the edge of the sifter litterbox. I've probably got everyone thoroughly confused by now, but trust me, this is a great system because it's so easy. Even without an additional sifter litterbox system on hand, this is a really great litterbox and I highly recommend it!!!

This litter box is awesome and well worth the money. I have three cats, all different sizes and they can all fit in it comfortably. All three of them choose this litter box over the others, every time. Nothing ever leaks out and the walls are high enough that not much litter gets out, even with three kicking cats. The shape makes it so easy to clean. And the handles!!! The handles make everything easier, moving it when I need to vaccuum, carrying it, cleaning it. It's easy to deep clean too, it washes right up, good as new. One of my cats loves to scatch at the sides and you would never know it, the scratching leaves no marks. It's also great or smaller spaces as it can fit in easier then harder walled boxes. I bought this in 2023, it is now 2026 and it's still as good as it was the first day. I would buy this again when I need one and my cats recommend it to your cats.

I ordered this litter box because I live in a tiny NYC studio apartment and the box must live in the very tiny bathroom. The old-fashioned, hard-plastic rectangular box could not be tucked away, so I tried this one. When it arrived I was appalled -- it was in a huge box, because it was huge! No way in hell was it going to fit in the 12-inch gap between the tub and the cupboard...except, it did (see photo). And it solved the problem of my onetime outdoor rescue kitty's sitting inside the box and pooping outside it, over the edge! I think the photo on the main product page of the cat sitting in the box is probably a cut-and-paste picture, because the cat looks too big in relation to the box. Check the dimensions before you order. UPDATE: Still love it! The sides being held quite tightly together eventually cracked the "prow," but I had silver packing tape and it's not even noticeable. Not that I would care; I would be willing to buy a new one every year if it came to that...but it doesn't and it won't! The reason for this update, though, is that I never mentioned I use Feline Pine litter and it slides out of there like a fried egg out of a non-stick skillet. A really fine product.

Love this litter box but... one handle cracked about 6 months into use and that bumps me out because I love the design. All pet deposits stay in litter box until I clean them out. Minimal excess liter tracked out of box and great for Kittys that are excessive about burying their waste and tossing the litter sand about in their effort. The high sides and no seams make this the easiest to clean litter box I have ever owned, but with the cracked handle it's not quite as easy to do that now. I would give it 5 stars except for the handle issue as the handle is quite important to the ease of transporting and dumping the litter out and cleaning the box. I got this box for a cat with kidney disease issues and boy let me tell you it needed to be cleaned quite often as they can do about 2x's the urine output. The plastic is just flexible enough to fit into the space beside my sink in my bathroom so the box is well camouflaged from view but easy to retrieve and pick up with the handles....if only one was not broken.

We've had furry feline family members for over 20 years and our current furry son, Henry is a former stray who came to us 2 years ago at (we believe) about 3 years old. We've used several styles of litter boxes over the years including the Breeze System by Tidy Cats and although we absolutely loved that system for our puddins who've crossed over the rainbow bridge, our current little guy just wouldn't take to it. So, for the first year with Henry, we used a pretty standard box with a good hard clumping litter and all was right with the world (a bit messy, but decent enough) and about 8 months ago we purchased a Litter Genie disposal system, which was a great choice in terms of storage/disposal. A couple of months later, I discovered that Litter Genie also makes this innovative, lightweight and yes, oddly shaped litter box and I was intrigued, to say the least. I read and then watched as many reviews as I could find online and decided to give it a shot. I'm extremely happy that I did!! This box is definitely lightweight and much easier to move around when cleaning. Its built-in handles with their higher sides are a Godsend for me because I have a myriad of debilitating autoimmune diseases that cause me significant pain and limit my mobility on a daily basis. The slick interior allows the litter to slide right out when it needs to be completely emptied and also makes it a breeze to clean by just wiping down the interior with disinfecting wipes followed by a damp cloth to remove any chemical residue that might be left behind by the wipes. Nothing sticks to this box either, including those inevitable "side clumps" that often leave a gooey, sticky mess on the sides of standard boxes. Henry is a very large cat with lots of thick, long fur and he not only fits well in the box, but he isn't able to kick out as much litter because of the higher sides, so that's a bonus! We're very, very happy with our purchase and would highly recommend this box to all furry feline parents!

I have two Siberian/Siamese mixed older kittens and prior to them I had a pure bred Siberian cat which we recently had to say goodbye to. We had him for many years and I am still heartbroken from losing him. Anyway, my point is that these cats tend to be larger than most and cats need space in their litter boxes to do their thing. I guess I was doing a search on new litter boxes for these new kittens and discovered this one. It arrived in good condition, no defects or cracks. It feels sturdy, cleans easily and has high sides to help keep litter in the box. My kittens are able to hop in and out with no issues. It’s easy to move because of the handles and easy to dump out for cleaning with the spout type area in the back side. Combined with the litter genie plus, what a great combination, because the litter genie is amazing! I only wish I had purchased the litter genie mat along with this litter box and I may still do that. For now, I am very pleased with this set up and my cats are loving the litter genie litter box. Highly recommend.

We have two of these because we have multiple cats. Pros: -the cats love them and had no problem getting used to them -we can pick them up and move them if we need to (sometimes we put some of the cats in a separate room to let a half-feral roam around a bit) -they're pretty easy to clean as far as cat boxes go -the walls are high enough to keep the cats from kicking litter out while digging (unless they go nuts and dig wildly for psychotic cat reasons) -they're solid one piece construction so they're going to be easy to wash off with a hose, brush, and soap (no weird nooks and cracks that need a lot of time and careful scrubbing) Cons: -the handles are a little flimsy and one cracked while I was shifting the box around a bit (didn't even pick it up) -because they're open box, odors travel quickly but that can be a positive because it means you're cleaning more regularly which is healthier for the cat and for you The cracked handle on the one unit is annoying but not a deal breaker. I'm surprised by how flexible these things are. We have one that sort of gets squashed behind the front door as we go in and out and it hasn't been an issue. We bought them partially for that reason because we live in a small New York City apartment and space was a consideration. I like the longer, narrower shape. It helps them fit against the walls better. I can't see that we're going to need to replace them for years and years.

I have two cats and this has become one of my favorite litter boxes after trying quite a few over the years. The stainless steel base gives it a sturdier, cleaner feel than the usual plastic-only pans, and litter doesn’t stick to it the way it tends to in regular boxes. That makes cleaning far easier, I usually just dump, rinse with hot water and mild soap, and it looks new again. Unlike plastic, it doesn't hold onto the pee smell once washed. The size works well for multi-cat use. Either of my cats fits comfortably inside, thanks to the taller sides that keep the litter in instead of scattering it all over the floor. The shape is a little unusual at first glance, but it’s actually very practical. It fits into tight spaces, and if you place it against a wall, the flexible design adjusts to the space while still giving the cats room to move. I've seen complaints about durability, but I've seen no issues myself so far. Overall, it’s quite a pricey option, but the design, cleanliness, and durability make it worth it for me. With two cats using it daily, it’s holding up well, keeps litter inside, and is easy to keep clean. Unless something better comes along, this will stay my go-to box. Switched to this litter box a few weeks ago and won't be going back. Plenty of space for my cat, odors stay under control, and cleaning is surprisingly quick since nothing sticks to the bottom. Built to last too. Very satisfied!

Very happy with this. We replaced our rectangular generic plastic box with this, and it significantly cut down on tracked litter and the amount of litter that she kicks out of the box. It's also much larger than her previous box, and it's much easier to do a full litter change as well. We have been using it for over a month so far, and no issues with handles breaking like others have mentioned. It's thick enough to withstand scratching and I have had no issues at all with scooping with the curved sides. Overall very happy, if this broke, I would buy another.

The first one was so good i ordered another. I have 4 cats and i use these 2 and a rubbermaid tote. Easy to dump and clean!
