Renshaw Extra Fondant Icing - Black

Brilliant stuff easy to roll no cracking either well impressed

Follow a girl online who bakes cakes and she recommended this. It is a little more expensive but it is very good and I had no breakages when rolling it and applying it to my cake. Will definitely buy again the marshmallow one is really nice.

There are only two ready mixed colours that I would buy, which are red and black from Renshaw. These colours are very hard to achieve yourself without using huge quantities of food colouring, which would then impact upon the structure of your fondant. I find them really useful and they seem to store for ages. I don't tend to use large amounts of these colours so find that very useful. Very easy to roll out and overall a good product. I'm not sure that I would try and cover a cake with them though because they are almost too soft, though others may disagree,

I hate working with black icing, it's the absolute devil. Always too sticky, prone to tearing, and if you get one with enough gum to be stiff you get crazing and elephant skin. This one was a pleasure to work with- not to sticky, didn't make my hands and everything else black - and I ended up using half the amount as it rolls quite thin. It's a wee bit harder to get going than white icing and you'll want to knead it a few mins to make it pliable enough to roll. Honestly very happy with the outcome!

I needed this for a Christmas cake and I’ve always purchase cheaper supermarket red fondant. For a few ££ extra per kg I’ll never be buying cheap fondant again. You can roll it very thin (2-3mm) for draping over cake for a perfectly smooth finish. Needs to be worked a little bit to get good colour consistency but I tend to work all fondant to warm it up for easy application.

I always had a problem finding black Icing for the family cakes I make. I bought this and I didnt use all of it. I kept it in a seal tight container. It was still fresh and ready to use.

Eine Zuckerpaste die wirklich nicht so süß ist. Sie lässt sich wunderbar verarbeiten. Werde ich auf jeden fall wieder kaufen.

D'habitude j'aime la marque Renshaw en pâte à sucre mais j'ai eu de la difficulté à étaler celle-ci. J'ai quand même réussi mais la pâte craquelait beaucoup et j'ai dû m'armer de beaucoup de patience pour réussir mon gâteau "Cars". Le goût est bon et la couleur est assez jolie.
