You can offer it as a stand-alone item, mix it with your dog's food, or mix it with something else entirely (peanut butter and cottage cheese are usually a big hit!).

Sorry, but I don't see any calorie count on the pkg. you can call (866) 437-9729 or email them at questions@thehonestkitchen.com.  it only contains papaya leaf, plantain leaf, slippery elm, pumpkin seed, pectin, papain and fennel, so I'm sure it's not much.

How can the description state no by products, yet the label states can contain byproducts. That is quite contradicting. So which is it?

This is an herbal supplement for dogs, that is human grade. My canister does not say byproducts, because this isn’t a meat containing product. I think perhaps you may have commented on the wrong item, as this is just an herbal blend that helps with bowel consistency and has belly soothing properties. It’s made in a certified human grade kitchen as well.
