🚀 Tiny ESC, Massive Flight Edge — Dominate your FPV race!
The AGFRC Mini 4A ESC is a super lightweight (0.5g), ultra-compact (13x10x5mm) brushless speed controller designed for 1S LiPo-powered FPV drones. Featuring a 48MHz Siliconlabs MCU and BLHeli_S firmware, it supports advanced protocols like DSHOT600 for precise, low-latency throttle control. Its hardware PWM motor drive ensures smooth, quiet operation, while premium build quality with a 4-layer PCB and low-resistance MOSFETs guarantees efficiency and durability in competitive multirotor racing.

Good enough deal, works with older aircraft type recievers. Soldering tiny connectors is required.
Nice to find a brushless ESC that works with older radios in the 72 mHz vintage and also with standard 2.4 Gig micro receivers like FlySky's FS2A. And for the price, isn't a bad deal considering these are BL-Heli programmables. You will have to learn to solder connectors on tiny little soldering pads and have the right electrical connectors.

ESC's are as described; poor documentation
I'm building a single-motor ultra-micro ornithopter and this ESC fit my needs perfectly (they come in a pack of 2 units). Dimensions are true, only 13mm in the longest direction, and only 0.5 grams! Runs perfectly powered by a 1S Lipo. It came flashed with BLHeli_S as described and can be read and configured by the BLHeli Configurator and Betaflight. I knocked off a star because of the documentation. The included manual is generic to the Xeon Run series ESC product line and is not helpful for this particular unit (the XR-4A). The 'diagram' is unhelpful and also wrong, if I wired this unit according to the image it would not work. However the ESC board itself is labeled correctly, with +, -, and S (for signal) on the input thru-holes, and A, B, and C on the motor output thru-holes. That's all the help you get though; there are 4 other solder pads (visible in the product images in the listing) that are unlabeled and I assume for CC debugging / firmware flashing; but there is no circuit board diagram anywhere, even on the AGFRC website. I've attached images of the included manual, and of the ESC unit on a ruler.

Does not work with brushed motor
Worked just fine

Spun motors, but died shortly
Both of these successfully spun my tiny 0802 motors, but died after only a short amount of usage. Both ESCs were tested with multiple motors, and on only 3V on a power supply limited to 2A. No both ESCs only cause the motors to twitch as they try to spin up. They also got hot under very little-to-no load.

I received a used set! 😳
The package was already open with wires soldered on! (wouldn’t normally complain about wires, but see the picture ) No idea if they work or not, guessing they got sent back for a reason…

Worked as expected but little documentation
Used for a mini rc airplane. It was tough to know for sure how to wire these up correctly, but they do work. I treated them like servos. Since I was powering my receiver directly with A 1S battery, and these only take 1S anyway, I powered them directly from the receiver.

Muy pequeño, me gusta
Me agrada que sea pequeño, muy difícil soldar para mi, tuve que comprar un soldador de aire caliente y pasta de soldadura a ver si así puedo

Instruction in manual guide is incorrect, vague and misleading
I go to the website as instructions in the manual describing but I could not find anything about the info such as the linker and the flashing procedures.
