How do I clean my CB15T motor base?

UNPLUG POWER CORD. Wipe exterior base surface with soft cloth/sponge dampened with washing solution, rinse water, and sanitizing solution. Prevent liquid from running into motor base by wringing all excess moisture from cloth/sponge before using.

My blender got hot and stopped working; what should I do to resolve this?
