Audio2000'S ADC2716 Cable Reel, Capacity: 330ft of 6mm cable

This is a very sturdy and high quality spindle. You can use it with lots of things, electrical cords, twine, etc, but what we purchased it for was Christmas lights. A couple of years ago we bought a super long strand (it fits an entire tree) of Christmas lights. They were always getting tangled up. This was the perfect solution! It's easy to roll some off a little at a time to decorate the tree, and also to reel it in a little at a time when removing the lights at the end of the season. Saves a lot of time.

This is a nice reel for the price. It feels sturdy and able to hold large lengths of heavy duty cable easily. It looks like it shouldn't be able to hold a lot when you pull it out of the box but I was surprised. I'm using it to hold a 200' ProCo ProCat Unshielded Cat5e cable and it does the job handily. If you are unsure about whether this reel will be adequate, you can use this cable reel calculator tool to find out. http://www.ingersollrandproducts.com/lifting/winches/drum.htm Just use these *approximate* dimensions: Barrel Diameter: 4.5 inches Flange Diameter: 10.75 inches Drum Length: 4.25 inches (reel flares outward from 3.5 - 5 inches for a 4.25 average) Then simply input your cable diameter and find out the maximum length this reel will hold in your situation. My cable is 8mm and 200' fits quite nicely. Bear in mind this reel also features an outer reel for holding a good length of slack. The only negatives I have for this reel are a nearly useless locking mechanism when using heavy cable, lack of means to secure the cable once reeled in, cable guide for smooth winding, and lack of a crank handle. But considering the price, you can't have everything.

I ordered 2 of these to manage 2 150" LynxPro Ethercon cables and they fit perfectly. The construction is solid and works well for this application. Others have mentioned that these are not heavy duty and I would agree but for the use I intend they will be perfect. I would not recommend them for a construction job site or for more torturous applications.

First impressions..smaller than expected. But I was able to wind 100ft of 16awg extension cable (see photo). The frame is metallic, but the wheel is plastic. It's relatively thin and flexes. The wheel is mounted through the frame - there's no bearings - so turning is not super smooth or easy. Speaking of turning, there's 3 cylindrical protrusions that I suppose one is to use to reel - but it's too small to get a grip - needs a handle. The best thing about it for me is to use as an extension cord storage. There's a hole thru which you can extend one end and wrap around the wheel on the outside (see photo). now I keep the wheel near the outlet and then unreel as much as I want and then reel it back in. Once I put a handle on it, it should work for me - I hope the plastic wheel doesn't break anytime soon. Acceptable - but not worth $45.

I really like these wire reels they hold the 300+ feet of RJ 45 CAT 8 Wire and help me easily manage it so it’s not all over the place and it’s easy to wire back up onto the reel I liked it so much. I bought three of them I might buy more. Probably will.

Would give this a 4.5 if possible- I'm rounding up to 5 since it's great when considering the price. Currently using it to hold 150' of ethercon cable. We only need it once a week for setup and breakdown, so it's pretty light/medium use. I would NOT recommend it for heavier usage! Overall, it works well and it's about perfect for the price. The reel likes to spin its way off the frame, so you have to be careful, and make sure you're using the little lock to keep it from spooling when it's stored. I had looked around for a while and didn't want to spend the money for a high end, heavy duty, professional grade reel. This one is perfect for our needs!

I bought a 200ft extension cord....didn't realize I would need help storing it lol... welp this baby sure helped out a lot. Easy to use even though mine didn't come with any type of instructions. I had to go on YouTube for help. Start with the side you would plug cords in, tuck it inside the hole then start wrapping counter clock wise. Hope I helped some by there being absolutely none on here

It has a larger center hub. I put 150 feet of Cat 6e DSnake Cable on it and it fits well. 10 feet of the cable is on the outside part of the reel for final connection at the reel end. Was what I was looking for ***

This actually works for heavy gauge cord also. No problem. Might be good to have a handle come with it but still good with the nubby handle that is molded onto it
