Best Hojicha powder for latte! Strong flavor, not bitter. Seems expensive but it’s not when you count how many cafe quality lattes it will make. Make it at home better than most cafes.

High quality ceremonial grade matcha! Smooth and taste great! Great value for the money. Has a nice, green color, pleasant aroma too. Size of container is small, but is as advertised!

I would encourage everyone to try this Matcha. I would give it 5 stars, but I am taking a star away for the specific batch I purchased on Amazon. The Hikari is truly delicious, however, the quality and freshness was superior when ordered directly from Matchaful. The color was more vibrant.

For how expensive this Matcha is I was very disappointed. The color is very dull and yellow toned meaning it is cheap Matcha. It’s super grainy has no notes except bitterness. Do not recommend. So many brands these days slap on the high-quality ceremonial label so they can scam people.

I have been ordering this matcha after going to the matchaful store in NY 4 years ago. It’s truly the best matcha I have ever found! I’m so thrilled it’s available on Amazon so I can get quicker shipping now! It’s expensive but well worth it. It lasts a long time and is perfectly balanced in terms of taste.

This matcha is delicious and very suitable for western palates - it is naturally sweet and creamy (less savory and umami-like some Kyoto options), and is delicious to drink without adding sweetener. Even my non-matcha inclined family members love to drink this. However, the packaging is atrocious. For the 100g bag, the powder accumulates above the seal, so when you cut it open, there is a powdery explosion of clumps of matcha that have stuck to the top. (The can packaging also wastes a lot of powder when opening it; I have no idea why they don't simply put it in a sealed bag like other matcha makers, this works perfectly fine.) Every time you open the packaging, you waste a lot of powder. This is unacceptable when the price per gram is so high.
