My chickens love this! I love that it helps their egg shells & yolks & keeps them contently pecking their treat while laying eggs. It looks & smells beautiful but it doesn’t last long once I sprinkle it in their nest boxes. They eat it up! Expensive but I will be buying again.

this product smells absolutely amazing and I mixed it around in my chicken coop. There’s more than I thought there would be in the bag so I’m happy with the quality and quantity. However, I don’t feel like this smell good lasted very long, but keeping my chicken coop from smelling bad has lasted a long time (several weeks). my chickens have had no change to their quality or health, but I only purchased for my sanity and my coop to not stink.

Our 5month old female Cayuga ducks (5 ducks) are getting towards the egg laying stage and we could tell they were anxious and uncomfortable with a lot of loud quacking quite often. So I changed their pellet feed to add more calcium and added these nesting herbs the same day. Wow! The ducks LOVED them and ate a huge amount the first time I put the herbs in their coop and nesting boxes. Now I am adding it to their new feed. They are calmer, shinier and I can tell they are more comfortable in general. Bonus- they now are much happier to get into their coop at night. The herbs made a dramatic difference. Our chickens love this stuff. Does it help with egg production, quality, or taste? No idea but our chickens are more pets than farm animals. Our eggs do have a vibrant golden yolk and people seem to really like eating the eggs.

As a vine reviewer, I had recently tested another brand of nesting herbs, and my chickens loved it so much that I decided to buy more. But I wanted to see what else was out there. There were so many great reviews on this brand I decided to try it. I will start by saying that I got twice the amount of herbs from the other brand, I think it was less money, although I didn’t pay for it because I was reviewing it. Comparatively, there was practically no scent to the herbs. The other brand I had tried was so fragrant that I sprinkled a handful on The tray that holds my bedding under my roosting bars because it’s so reduced the smell and the smell of lavender was so wonderful that I think it calmed my flock at night. I will say that the herbs in this brand are much chunkier, there are entire rosebuds and flowerheads in there, and they were gone every morning when I went to check for eggs. But the other brand was gone as well, but that brand was not any whole buds or flowers. I feel for the price, I’m not getting near the same benefit that I’m getting from this brand. I wouldn’t use this on my coop floor. It would be a waste of time. And it would certainly be a waste of money. I don’t notice any increase in egg production, but I wasn’t really looking for that. I’m going back to the brand I tested.
