My daughter dropped her phone and the screen cracked, we tried just letting it go but as time went on the cracks in the screen gave the phone a mind of its own and it would randomly call people, open apps etc. Decided we had nothing to lose at this point and to try a screen replacement. Using this exact kit my husband and I sat down and watched youtube video instructions as we worked. It took approximately 1 hour, hardest part being just getting the phone open but after that it was smooth sailing. What took so long was we had to keep rewinding videos to make sure we weren't missing screws/steps when we were taking it apart....but putting it back together was a breeze!The nice thing was that this replacement screen comes with the camera as well which saves a lot of extra steps and time so you do not have to transfer the camera from the original screen.When we first turned it on all it had was a glowing black screen, so we took it back apart, my husband rechecked connections and tightened screws, something must have been loose because it turned right on and has worked just as well!Highly recommend!

A colleague recommended iFIXIT for the steps and products necessary to replace my cracked iPhone screen. I’m so glad I followed his advice. I needed help two times: a third hand helped me separate the front and back of the phone, and a 1.0 mm screw seemed to vanish and my third-hand person helped look for it. It hadn’t vanished, really, just hid itself on the back of a Post-It flag I was using to keep the screws organized and labeled by steps in the process. It’s truly a sense of accomplishment, as well as validation of your ability to concentrate and stay patient, to replace your own cracked screen. The iFIXIT website has all the instructions, photos, and advice you need.

My phone is fixed!!! I have gone so long with a broken skin and my husband ordered this and put it together in under an hour! Granted I probably could not have installed it as I am not as patient as he is, but he pulled up a YouTube video and BOOM! I have a perfectly good IPhone again. Couldn’t beat the price compared to normal cost of IPhone 8 Plus screen replacement!

Pretty easy replacement and good quality. Disconnecting and connecting cables is the longest part of the process. I replaced both my sons’ screens. The first one took me just about 90 minutes and the second one about an hour.

If you want to get in and get a screen repair done quickly, grab this kit. I've used every type of display/digitizer combo out there and was most satisfied with this one.

My screen turned darker on the bottom right corner. What’s that??? I paid a lot more for have a good screen and now I’m very upset. My stepson did it for me and he is an expert on this. If I knew I wouldn’t have waisted all the money for an screen like that. Before buying I did all the search but I think it was a mistake. Now I can’t send it back. There’s way to have my money back??? Thanks!
