Is the lid stainless steel?

The lid of thermal carafe is food grade plastic, and the body and inner liner are food grade stainless steel.

The stainless steel one looks like it has a black vertical stripe. Is that a reflection or is it black in the design?

Hi Loretta, We're glad you're interested in this thermal carafe. Our thermal carafe is only silver, no black stripes. Because the silver thermos reflects light when taking pictures, black stripes are shown on the photos. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us. Sincerely Sumerflos

Is there colored ones or just stainless steel?
