Excel (TWS-210ANS 7-Piece Adjustable Spoke Torque Wrench Set, Black

I purchased this torque wrench to torque my excel spokes to my new excel rims. The wrench performed beautifully and felt very sturdy. However I feel the price is pretty steep for such a specialized wrench. You can buy a full size torque wrench for less and use it on tons of other applications.

This spoke torque wrench is a decent tool for the price. It does not feel like a "high end" tool, but it does function as advertised. The instructions that come with the tool are helpful. In the instructions, it says only to torque spokes with the tool, but do not simply tighten all the spokes with the torque wrench. It tells you to use a standard bar-type attachment to do the tightening and adjusting. My only complaint is that some photos showed that bar attachment in the box and some did not. My kit did not include that bar attachment. So I guess the 7th piece in the "7 piece set" is the carrying case?? Because otherwise there are only 6 pieces - the torque wrench and 5 different sized wrench attachments.

Did exactly what I needed and excellent quality.

seems very over priced. tusk has one cheaper with cheaper heads. quality was ok but i sent it back and got the tusk. the wrench is very hard to adjust in some light since the letters are very small and silver.

Needed to purchase a 6.9mm head to fit my spokes, kit does not come supplied with this size. Nice kit otherwise,pleased with purchase.

Honestly, I know what I bought into when I got this.If you are going to be working with Buchannan's Heavy Spokes, I would suggest buying the size wrench you need from them, maybe even buying their torque wrench that is a flex meter style wrench, as this wrench only goes up to 60 inch pounds. I had to order this, plus the 6.9mm add on head, plus the non-torque wrench handle itself to be able to work on my wheel.There really needs to be an option on Amazon for the full 10 piece set. I would look at a different wrench with more options if I had to do it again.

Did not include the 7th piece, the wrench handle? There is an empty space in the case for the handle, but no handle. I received a 6 piece set? contained in the set were 5 wrench heads, and 1 torque wrench (6 pieces). The handle is required for initially loosening the spoke nipples. It is strange because the directions in the box having large warnings to use the handle not the torque wrench for initially loosening the spoke nipples, and instructions for its use...just not there?

I love this tool! It has all the sizes I need. It’s very easy to set the torque and it is easy to use.
