I need a stable platform. What is the side to side movement when the platform is extended? Does the platform stay level when raised and lowered?

There is some side-to-side mechanical play when fully extended which is about 0.5 to 1.0cm. Also, when fully extended there is some play in the tilt of about 3 degrees. It is not rock solid so it will depend on your application whether or not the mechanical play is an issue or not.
