This is a good replacement, you can barely tell that it uses less water than the old 2.5 gal one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ as always, HGrohe makes awesome shower head *by F***R on June 22, 2019* these shower heads are so unique to your needs... some like a hard shooter, others soft, some pulse, etc. The build quality of this is a 5 star, all Grohen and HGrohe products are first class... that is why it costs so much more than many shower heads... This is considered a medium size head.... which is perfect for my needs...I like some force... and with the full setting at 1.8 gpm, this is as forceful as heads get these days... not like yesteryear, when it bombarded you with 3+ gpm.... those days are over.. Also I have this head on a flexible hose, so its easy to lift up to hold and move around my body... it fit my needs perfectly hence the 5 stars for use as well...but if you like very soft pressure and wider pattern, obviously this is not the head for you... the unit comes with a rubber cone that goes over the threaded connection... this seems to serve two purposes, first, if it leaks, there, it wont spray on the wall...and when you take it off, assuming on a hose, it your fingers are not on contact with metal... brilliant!
