Review: UPDATE As a replacement for IKEA glass bathroom shelf over time these began to sag. - These brackets are an almost exact replacement for the original brackets from an IKEA 21" (21x4x1/4) glass bathroom shelf that's no longer available. Over time the brackets weakened and eventually failed but only after probably 15+ years. These replacement brackets seems to be a better quality and appear sturdier. Saved quite a bit not having to replace the entire shelf. And happily I didn't even have to change out the plastic anchors drilled into the tile so installation took maybe a total of 10 minutes. UPDATE: Over time these brackets began to fail just as the original IKEA brackets did causing the glass shelf to sag. Needed to be replaced. If I could figure out how to do it I'd reduce # of stars to 2 stars.

**Q: Is it water resistant? Could it be used in a shower?**
A: They are metal so yes but might Rust in a year or so

**Q: You didn’t indicate the dimension from the back of the bracket to the inside of the pocket?**
A: 5/8"

**Q: How big is the hole for screwing to the wall? What size/type of metal screw can I use?**
A: I drilled a 5/16 hole, but was using anchors in tile. It will depend on the wall material. Mine came with screws, so I just bought one with a similar diameter.

**Q: Can this be use on Flexiglass?**
A: Yes. I have used it on tempered glass and it’s working great.

These brackets are an almost exact replacement for the original brackets from an IKEA 21" (21x4x1/4) glass bathroom shelf that's no longer available. Over time the brackets weakened and eventually failed but only after probably 15+ years. These replacement brackets seems to be a better quality and appear sturdier.
