Also, it softens up a great deal as it warms up (as you are applying it). So as you start to work it it gets even softer. I have used it as a final coating on large paintings. I think that it would work for wood as well. It just depends on how much wood you have to wax and how you plan to spread it. **Q: Has anyone waxed a brick floor with this after sealing the brick?** A: I haven't waxed brick but I have waxed low-fired terra cotta ceramic sculptures. They are similar to brick in porosity. I got the sheen I was looking for but beware that slightly opaque buildup can occur in cracks and crevices. Several coats are necessary and, depending on your square footage, you could go through quite a bit of wax. **Q: Is there any silicone in this product?** A: There is no silicone in this product.
