This winch rope I would rank as above average and for this price point (about $60) it is a great buy! The rope feels similar to my expensive brands and I like the attachment point to the winch drum. The crimped lug and heat shrink is much cleaner than most of the other cheap ropes out there that have a smashed piece with a hole through it. The lock splice at the tube thimble looks well done with a proper length of rope tail buried in the line. Two protective sleeves included are nice as well. I used the first on the winch drum itself to protect the rope from the heat generated but it only covered half the drum which is ok because, from experience, that half gets hotter than the other side on my winch. The other sleeve I use on the end of the rope to protect from chaffing which can be moved along the rope as needed. I replaced the steel cable with this and it has performed beyond my expectations for nearly 5 years now. I especially like the 'synthetic cable because if the cable drags on anything like stairs, deck etc. the steel would permanently scratch. Not this! I am an avid review reader prior to purchase--mainly focusing on the negatives because that is where I often learn more than from the 5 star reviewers. That said, I highly recommend this cable for any heavy lifting project.
