The rotational buckle system allows 180 degree swivel to fit the widest cross section of faces ever. Freedom Technology TUSA engineers spent years studying human facial features to come up with a series of improvements to the mask skirt to make the Freedom HD one of the most comfortable masks ever. The mask has a dimpled skirt around the cheeks and forehead to offer a superior seal to flat skirts in these areas. This increases the skirts softness and suppleness in these critical areas reduces the chances of leakage. The skirt has various thicknesses of silicone which in areas around the mouth which distort whilst holding a snorkel or regulator again offer a superior seal. As water pressure increases all masks push harder onto your face until you equalise the pressure. Thanks to revolutionary stability ridges the Freedom mask stays in shape and remains comfortable avoiding leakage for longer. The Freedom Dry technology with the mask means the edges of the skirt are made from low friction silicone with offers superior softness and fit. If you struggle to find a dive or snorkel mask to fit, your search may be over.. The TUSA freedom mask is made in Taiwan. If you have any other questions, please let us know.ThanksDivemaster Chris866-728-2293 **Q: Is the lens glass or polycarbonite plastic?** A: Not Glass. FEw lens are these days. This thing is awesome. Nose bridge is a little close but I have a lower brow which doesn't help. **Q: I have a medium to small face frame (size 7 1/4 head if that helps). Is this mask OK for me to use?** A: This mask is very nice as are all TUSA masks but it runs a bit on the large side compared to other masks in the market. I do not recommend this mask for people with a small face frame. The TUSA Liberator Plus mask is an all around great choice. **Q: what is the best mask for a man with a big nose??** A: Hi Hiedi,  Thank you for your inquiry. The best way to find a mask is by trying them on in person. I have personally had success fitting people with larger noses in masks with a single lens, i.e. a frameless mask.  We hope this answers your question, Please let us know if we can further help in any way.  Thank you, Hannah HouseofScuba ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really comfortable and fits large nosed people. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 6 August 2025* This is by far the best mask I’ve ever used. Thoroughly recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome sturdy mask *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 13 June 2024* Very quick receiving this mask, after receiving it I removed the film by burning, if you know how then you know, if not be very careful, I then toothpaste cleaned the lenses, placed some defog inside, dived with it two hours later without any fogging. No leakage at all and very well sealed. The range of vision is huge !I flooded the mask as it is big to see how it would clear, and was able to clear it in one go, at worst it would take two goes. The f1 cressi is now my second mask. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Mask I have tried by far.. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 1 May 2014* In my opinion this is possibly the best mask on the market as of May 2014. This mask is the new revamp of the Tusa visualator. It has a supersoft skirt and a really superb strap assembly. I tried on a few masks at my local dive shop and for myself who has a larger rounder face this mask fits superbly. It really gives a roomy feel and has a great field of view in all directions, infact considerably more than many more expensive masks. It is very easy to clear and squeeze is not an issue. 10/10 ## Frequently Bought Together - TUSA M-1001 Freedom HD Scuba Diving Mask - TUSA SP-0101 Hyperdry Elite II Scuba Diving Snorkel - TUSA SP-170 Platina Hyperdry II Scuba Diving Snorkel --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/96577973-m1001-freedom-hd-scuba-diving-mask](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/96577973-m1001-freedom-hd-scuba-diving-mask) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
