Review: Great! Works well, all the features you need and a screaming good deal! - This is a Black and Decker 1.1 cu ft countertop microwave. It is 1000 watt. This is exactly what we wanted. Compact but large enough for a travel coffee mug. It looks very nice and is Stainless steel, very visible in our kitchen. The child door lock was confusing at first, it engages after every cook cycle. But the mfg puts how to open the lock right on top of the manuel so that made it easy to figure out. This is a basic microwave but it still has fast buttons for cook time. Press 1 and it turns on and cooks for one minute. I do not tend to use the function buttons (popcorn, beverage) but I like the quick timer buttons and use them all the time. This also defrosts by weight or time. For us it has evetything we want. At its price point its also a screaming good deal and arrived very quickly. There is nothing bad I can say about this - it works great and we are very pleased with it.
Review: Lightweight and so far, I love it. - These are first impressions as I just received it. First can I say I’m impressed with the box itself. It has cut out handles which pretty much insures that the microwave stays upright during shipping and delivery with less chance of damage. It also made it easier to pull it in from the porch. I always unwrap pieces like this in our hallway where I have room to move. Unwrapping was a breeze and I quickly inspected for any damage. It was just light enough for me to set it on my kitchen sideboard without help. I washed the turntable and knew immediately that the other reviewers were right in that it does slide. I had anticipated this and had a silicone mat ready to order in my cart. The instructions come with a loose card for navigating or disabling the lock feature. There is also a label on top with the same instructions. After thirty days, I’ll peel that one off. I did flip through all of the instructions and they are all straight forward. The inside is small, as expected, but my dinner plates just fit and my splatter cover also fits. I was worried about that but it turns with literally no room to spare. I purchased the three year desertcart warranty but hopefully it will last at least that long. For the price, the next day delivery and the ease for my ability to lift it, it was totally worth it. I will have to get used to 700 power as my old one was 1200. That was a sharp carousel that I bought at Kmart in 2004! I laid it to rest this morning. Have used it for three meals so far and I do have to almost double the cook time of my old one to get things hot. My only real con so far is that my hands don’t fit comfortably on either side of the dinner plate. There’s just no room. I have to kind of coax it out.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love this microwave, but it needs idiot proof buttons.
*by T***T on August 22, 2026*

This microwave is the right size for a small kitchen. Value for money is also great. Appearance is sleek. Versatility is on point, but the controls-unless you walk everyone in your household through how the system works and locks when heating things, they'll probably start a fire. There is a child safety lock on it and I didn't see where you could turn that off. Unfortunately, at the time I was living with my fiance' and he once again proved how not so smart he is. By putting a jar in to the microwave discounting the fact it still had that aluminum tin foil on the edges of it and when he went to go get it out, he couldn't open it safely in a timely manner. Now, i again, I realize he's not the sharpest tool in the shed, but even for others like elderly this could be a fire hazard.
