Velcro peels away after a time ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Both backing plate and disks work great *by B***S on Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2021* I do not write many reviews but I was initiallyuncertain about buying these disks and backing plate to refinish my granite countertop based on what people said about the backing plate not securing the disks after a few uses. I took a chance and had no problems and changed to different disks many time during the hours of operation to fully restore my granite. I do not know how people are using the disks to cause them to not be secured to the backing plate but I used a Dewalt variable speed grinder/polisher to complete the job. I highly recommend this product if you want to refinish granite surfaces. When people say that the disks flew off they do not say how they were using them. I used the recommended speed called for in granite refinishing videos and had no problem and the disks last forever.
