Unlike other brands which require the purchase of special "pods" containing seeds, you can use your own growing medium and seeds in this one. CONs: Expensive for what it is. Comes with an EU plug, which can't be changed to UK because the plug and transformer are all in one, so an adapter is required. There is a warning light to say water is required, and a small flap that can be lifted to add water, but the "fill to here" markers can only be seen by lifting out one of the plant pots, which renders the other two features somewhat redundant. I'm keeping it, because it was a gift and for the novelty value.
Review: Works perfect - We just had our first succesful batch of jalopenos. It worked fine and is easy to operate. Need a dark corner. We placed in window so growing went fast but water was also used quite fast so had to refill a few times. No problem. Can be recommended.

CONs: Expensive for what it is. Comes with an EU plug, which can't be changed to UK because the plug and transformer are all in one, so an adapter is required. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ OTtimo prodotto

Ho atteso un po' di tempo prima di scrivere la recensione. L'articolo è arrivato in una scatola di cartone, abbastanza robusta, contenente la serra con i due vasetti, la lampada e il suo alimentatore. All'interno dei vasetti è presente un materiale ( simle ad argilla) utilizzabile per piantare i semi. Il motivo principale per cui ho acquistato questo prodotto, rispetto ad altre piccole serre da casa, è la possibilità di utilizzare dei semi normali, anziché i semi specifici che prevedono altre serre. La serra è dotata di un'illuminazione che ha 3 posizioni: 2 servono a scegliere il tipo di luce, tenendo premuto il pulsante, si attiva una luce combinata ad un Timer che la tiene accesa per circa 15 ore (non ho cronometrato il tempo...), poi la luce si spenge da sola e si riaccende dopo alcune ore di riposo. Sono presenti 2 led, uno verde (che segnala che l'apparecchio è sotto tensione) e uno rosso, che si accende, insieme a un segnale acustico intenso, quando scarseggiano l'acqua e le sostanze nutritive per le piantine. Il metodo di funzionamento è semplicissimo: 1) Riempire fino al livello indicato con acqua e un nutriente per piante (io ho acquistato un nutriente BIO per piante aromatiche) 2) inserire i semi delle piante nell'argilla dei vasetti 3) Accendere e spegnere manualmente la luce (o utilizzare il Timer) in maniera da fornire luce alle piante per una mezza giornata e.... attendere. Dopo circa una settimana ho iniziato a veder spuntare le piantine dai vasetti. La velocità poi dipende anche dal tipo di pianta utilizzato (nel mio caso Basilico e Prezzemolo) Il basilico è spuntato prima, ma poi la velocità di crescita è risultata più lenta (ma la pianta cresce più robusta), mentre il prezzemolo ha impegato diversi giorni in più a "farsi vedere", ma poi è cresciuto a una velocità maggiore, anche se la pianta è molto più "fine" rispetto all'altra. Ricordo che la serra serve soprattutto a far germinare le piante. Se volete che crescano maggiormente, conviene poi passarle in un vaso esterno. Personalmente sono molto soddisfatto del prodotto: funziona, dà una nota di colore alla casa e può essere anche educativo per chi ha figli piccoli...
