So, before I had my dog on 2 800gm packs of Royal Canine Mini Starter and transitioned to this! As many people have addressed the issue with bad packaging, I did not experience anything like that. The kibble size is perfect enough for my dawgggg!! He is easily able to digest it and single piece of kibble goes for good amount of chewing. But the package itself is only 1KG which is kind of expensive but my dawg loves it so yeah! go for itt Review: Effective nutrition - Have been using this product especially formulated for GSD pups from Royal Canine for last two months. Quite satisfied with the quality and growth of both my pups (now 4 months old).. whose growth and health was stalled/ adversely affected by severe Parvo virus infection when they were just 2 months old. By God's grace both survived and RC did help them to regain their growth and gain weight in post infection period. Food is easily digestible and pups like it. I add water and soak the kibbles for few minutes and feed my pups. In 2 months the pups have gained about 6 kgs of weight. ## Features - Tailored for German Shepherd Puppies: Specially formulated dry food to meet the unique nutritional needs of growing German Shepherd puppies, supporting healthy growth, energy, and vitality. - Supports Digestive Health: Contains highly digestible proteins and prebiotics to promote optimal digestion and nutrient absorption, supporting gastrointestinal comfort in puppies. - Supports Immune System: Enriched with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals to strengthen natural defenses and promote overall immunity. - Promotes Bone & Joint Health: Contains essential nutrients such as calcium, phosphorus, and other minerals to support healthy bone and joint development, critical for large breed puppies. - Veterinarian-Approved Formula: Developed under veterinary guidance to provide complete and balanced nutrition, supporting overall health, immune strength, and long-term wellness. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B003UVANVM | | Additional Features | Supports immune and digestive health, strengthens bones and joints | | Age Range (Description) | Puppy | | Age Range Description | Puppy | | Allergen Information | Hypoallergenic | | Animal Food Diet Type | Limited Ingredient | | Best Sellers Rank | #660 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) #69 in Dry Dog Food | | Brand | ROYAL CANIN | | Brand Name | ROYAL CANIN | | Breed Recommendation | German shepherd | | Container Type | Bag | | Dog Breed Size | Large | | Flavor | Unflavoured | | Flavour | Unflavoured | | Global Trade Identification Number | 03182550724159 | | Importer Contact Information | Royal Canin India Pvt Ltd, 1401 & 1402, F Wing, 14th Floor, Lotus Corporate Park, Graham Firth Compound, Off Western Express Highway, Goregaon East, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India - 400063 | | Included Components | 1 Pack Dry Dog Food | | Item Form | Kibble | | Item Shape | Royal Canin SAS, 650, Avenue, De La Petile, Aimargues, Camargues-BP4-30470, France or Royal Canin South Africa, Epson Avenue, North Riding, Randb Gautenq, South Africa | | Item Type Name | Dry Dog Food | | Item Weight | 12000 Grams | | Manufacturer | Royal Canin, Royal Canin SAS, 650, Avenue, De La Petile, Aimargues, Camargues-BP4-30470, France & Royal Canin South Africa, Epson Avenue, North Riding, Randb Gautenq, South Africa | | Manufacturer Contact Information | Royal Canin SAS, 650, Avenue, De La Petile, Aimargues, Camargues-BP4-30470, France & Royal Canin South Africa, Epson Avenue, North Riding, Randb Gautenq, South Africa | | Manufacturer Part Number | 35541 | | Model Number | 02RCGSJ | | Number Of Items | 1 | | Occasion | Birthday | | Package Size Name | 12 kg | | Packer Contact Information | Royal Canin SAS, 650, Avenue, De La Petile, Aimargues, Camargues-BP4-30470, France & Royal Canin South Africa, Epson Avenue, North Riding, Randb Gautenq, South Africa | | Pet Type | Dog | | Product Benefits | Supports immune and digestive health, strengthens bones and joints | | Recommended Uses For Product | Royal Canin SAS, 650, Avenue, De La Petile, Aimargues, Camargues-BP4-30470, France or Royal Canin South Africa, Epson Avenue, North Riding, Randb Gautenq, South Africa | | Special Ingredients | Royal Canin SAS, 650, Avenue, De La Petile, Aimargues, Camargues-BP4-30470, France or Royal Canin South Africa, Epson Avenue, North Riding, Randb Gautenq, South Africa Special Ingredients Royal Canin SAS, 650, Avenue, De La Petile, Aimargues, Camargues-BP4-30470, France or Royal Canin South Africa, Epson Avenue, North Riding, Randb Gautenq, South Africa See more | | Specific Uses For Product | Active behaviour, Digestive Health, Weight Management | | Target Species | Dog | | Unit Count | 12000.0 Grams | | country-of-origin | France | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Puppy - **Brand:** ROYAL CANIN - **Flavour:** Unflavoured - **Item Form:** Kibble - **Item Weight:** 12000 Grams - **Net Quantity:** 12000.0 Grams - **Number of Items:** 1 - **Package Information:** Bag - **Specific Uses For Product:** Active behaviour, Digestive Health, Weight Management ## Images ![German Shepherd Puppy, Dry Food, 12 kg - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51t5bdkSgHL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My pet loveddd ittt!! *by A***H on 4 August 2025* If you got a German Shepherd Pup, then you gotta buy it! It contain all ingrediants and minarals which are essential for growth of our pup and taste is also good , i can say that because my pup eats it with interest without adding anything to eat, if puppy is only 1 or 2 month old so you can add some lukewarm water to it for his convenience and believe me it also increase the taste of kibbles for your pup . This product is especially made for gsd pup and according to their taste buds. I also used royal canin maxi junior but my pup does not likes as much as he likes royal canin junior german shepherd, most people think that both are similar product but thay are different because rc maxi is for all the large breed pups like labrador, boxer, rottweiler etc ## Frequently Bought Together - Royal Canin Dog Food German Shepherd Puppy / Junior Dry Mix 12kg - Royal Canin Maxi Puppy / Junior Wet Dog Food 40 Packs 140g Each Specially Developed For Young And Growing Large Breed Dog Up To 15 Months Old --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/94021753-german-shepherd-puppy-dry-food-12-kg](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/94021753-german-shepherd-puppy-dry-food-12-kg) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-24*
